In a recent phone conversation with one of my sons, I learned he was completely unaware that there are a number of Muslim para-military, most likely terrorist training camps, in America. He was both surprised and a bit shocked, and I promised to send him some links where he could learn about this apparently under-reported fact.
I decided to post those links here, in hopes that others who are unaware of these Islamic Jihad training camps, right here in the US and Canada, might see just how close to home the terrorist threat is.
After those links, I have a bit of criticism for how this situation is being treated by those who are supposed to be the experts.
Terror Camp Links
These are the first three articles I saw about the Islamic training camps in America in 2005: Jamaat ul-Fuqra in Virginia, Part 1
Jamaat ul-Fuqra in Virginia, Part 2
Jamaat ul-Fuqra in Virginia, Part 3
Many more followed. Here are some of them:
Islamic Terrorist Training Camps in the U.S.
Islam in America: Part Three (Whole series and more.)
Islamic training camp in New York?
The Truth Exposed: Islamic Terrorist Training & Fundraising in America
Islamic Jihad Training in America?

More Facts Needed
By the time you get to the Christian Action Network, there is a growing suspicion that something doesn't add up. There is no doubt at all that such training camps exist and that their purpose is to train Muslim terrorism and other jihadist activities.
Robert Spencer, whose Jihad Watch is doing such a good job exposing to the world what Islam is, and what its true motives and intentions are, features the Christian Action Network's press release for their film, "Here is a press release from the Christian Action Network: 'Never-Before-Revealed Terrorist Training Video Exposes 35 Compounds On American Soil'"
Where Are the Other 25?
In all the articles I've been able to find, only 10 such sites are identified (and one of those is closed). So far, the only locations I find documented are:
--Jamaat ul-Fuqra compound in Red House, Virginia.
--One in Dunlap, CA, closed immediately after 9/11.
A well documented on 40 miles southeast of Binghamton, (Islamberg), NY.
Others listed are: Hancock, N.Y.; Red House, Va.; Tulare County, Calif.; Commerce, Ga.; York, S.C.; Dover, Tenn.; and Combermere, Canada. "While some of these enclaves contain only rudimentary buildings and trailers, the California compound has 300 residents on a 440-acre spread ..."
Where are the other 25? Surely I've just missed them, or haven't done enough research.
I wrote Robert Spencer asking him if he could point me to a list of all 35 sites. His answer was that the Christian Action Network ought to be able to provide such a list. That seems reasonable, since they are the ones claiming there are 35 such sites, so I wrote them.
They never responded. Of course, I should never have had to ask for such a list, because it ought to have already been published so Americans can know where these Muslim camps are, and how near they might be to where they live.
I have not seen the Christian Action Network's film, and perhaps it really does list the location of all 35 sites. I would love to be wrong about this, and hope if anyone has seen the film they will comment to that effect to this article.
At this point I cannot say there really are not 35 such camps, but even if there were only the 10 (or actually 9) that have been identified, the fact would still be a very serious and troubling one. The problem is, in identifying something dangerous and wrong, any unsubstantiated claims cast doubts on the facts. There is a dearth of knowledge about this Muslim threat already, questionable assertions about these facts will make it that much harder to convince people of the seriousness of this particular Islamic danger.
Islamberg in NY has an arrangement with Google to keep the satellite view of their compound unavailable to the average person. I know, I tried to see it.

The Federal Government is probably more suspicious of local shooting clubs, that these guys.
Islamberg Ping.
Perhaps someone needs to make an anonymous call to Child Protective Services claiming children are being abused in this Islamberg (and all the other) camps. It worked in California.
Oh, they were LDS, not Muslims.
Still it would be interesting to see the hypocrisy.

Besides Robert Spencer’s JihadWatch site you should check out www.homelandsecurityus.com whic is Doug Hagmann’ North East Intelligence Network. They seem to have a lot of data on the terror camps.

Yes, thanks, that is one of the links in the article.
