Anyone meeting with the President is going to have an extensive security background check done. If not much is known about Basso that would be a good opportunity for Obama's people to find out.

Depends on your perspective and your definition of GOOD. A "good" reason would be to stage his disappearace. Now that he's dosobeyed the "order" not to spread the info, he is less likely to vanish.
