Michael Steele Should Not Have Apologized [Don't Worry, the mods won't - ZOT!]

Early this month, Michael Steele said that Rush Limbaugh was "an entertainer" and that his comments were usually "incendiary" and "ugly" on the Hughley Show. As a Republican politician is expected to, he must convince people and compromise on ideas when necessary. Michael Steele was right to emphasize that he is the Republican Party leader not Rush Limbaugh. Later however, he apologized to Rush Limbaugh about those comments, confirming Hughley's fear that Rush Limbaugh was the "De facto leader" of the Republicans.
I don't believe that Steele should have apologized, Rush is not the leader of this party, he's just one voice out of many.

No responses in some time. I think JimRob scared “it” off with post 58.

The “Plain People” thread is over 4400 views. Who woulda thunk it?

Let’s cut Ash some slack. If your Vice-President dad stapled ass hairs to his scalp, you’d need to smoke crack, too.

I’d get her on 6 months of a liquid diet and 5 hours a day treadmill work before I’d hit it, but that’s me.

How did you ever manage to blunder onto the FR site? I hope you eventually manage to find your way back to your natural home.
All too many politicians behave like weasels and vote the way they wish and in their political interests, not those of their constituents.
You should pay attention to the news that swirls around you each day and you might become less naive. I would also suggest a course in basic logic. It might serve to sharpen your thinking.
By the way has anyone ever told you that capitalizing words to “shout” emphasis is truly rude email and internet behaviour?

Try going to the site and reading their forum posts. They are self described "big tent Republicans" who are open to creating a diverse party. In short, they`re the type of "conservatives" who`ll sell out their "principles"for the sake of party and power, your basic Rinos, though I prefer the term Cinos,as if the Republicratic party is the be all and end all of conservatism.
Look, flame away if you must but the one overriding issue,to me,that defines conservatism is the concept of the sovereign individual, endowed by God,not the state, with his/her individual rights.Loose that and you get Barky the @ssclown wonder mutt, not to mention McLame the cross over wonder. What a dynamic duo of doom.

I went there. They are pro-abort and pro-homo. Brian is typical of brainwashed twenty somethings fresh out of high school or college. The idiot thinks he can change the world by posting nonsense on conservative sites. He’s Don Quixote tilting at windmills.

I bet you have beads braided throughout your hair, your living room is filled with candles, peace signs and flowers, you wear tie-dye and Birkenstocks and you reek to high heaven of patchoulli oil and you listen to "Give Peace a Chance" and Kumbaya on your old Kenwood system...
You just don't get it...A conservative Republican cannot find common ground with a liberal Democrat...you cannot rationally reason with a Lunatic Fringe Whacko left wing nutjob...as most Democrat members of Congress are..(Ann Coulter and Rush and Sean Hannity learned that long ago)..Attemption to reason with a liberal with undisputable and irrefutable fact, evidence and proof, is tantamount to attempting to teach the intricasies of Quantum Physics to a severe Down's Syndrome victim...Just can't be done...Oh, btw...Welcome to FR...NOW LEAVE!!
