Michael Steele Should Not Have Apologized [Don't Worry, the mods won't - ZOT!]

Early this month, Michael Steele said that Rush Limbaugh was "an entertainer" and that his comments were usually "incendiary" and "ugly" on the Hughley Show. As a Republican politician is expected to, he must convince people and compromise on ideas when necessary. Michael Steele was right to emphasize that he is the Republican Party leader not Rush Limbaugh. Later however, he apologized to Rush Limbaugh about those comments, confirming Hughley's fear that Rush Limbaugh was the "De facto leader" of the Republicans.
I don't believe that Steele should have apologized, Rush is not the leader of this party, he's just one voice out of many.

Final sentence of Mr. Kane's post:
I think we've come to a point where we think we know more about politics than our own politicians.
Can we not give Rush some credit for effecting this? Only an insincere person would say 'no'.
As for the rest of Kane's rant, he's yet another, of a definite minority, on the Right who refuses to recognize the important contribution Rush has made to the elucidation of the voting populace. Rush is much astute, and very good at, disassembling political legerdemain and explaining what it really is and why they do it.
Read Kane's opinions of Rush, it is blatantly obvious he has 'Rush-Envy'. Some of what he states is outlandishly false or an outright lie.
Kane comes across as a certain white-trash Republican here on FR. One wonders if Kane too escorted his cousin to the high school prom.

To make it easier for you, I've highlighted the relevant sections of JimRob's statement of purpose to show where Steele and McLame fall short. As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God,
pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense,
pro-freedom, and-pro America.
We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc.
We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

Disagreeing how? I am simply saying we need to examine our weaknesses and fix them so that as Republicans we can win. This should BE the motto of this site.Who says that we are all Republicans? After all, FR is a conservative site, not a Republican site.

All you do is label and blame McCain with different name-calling like as if you could have done any better in his position. This is a prime example of arrogance.Tell that to the Viking Kittens.

I haven’t determined whether he’s a DUmmie or just a Rudybot/Mittbot retread. I’m leaning toward the latter.

Not to worry. When the scatterbrained Obama debates Sarah Palin in a few years, and sits there with that effete, $hit-eatin’ grin on his face, the grand lady will, metaphorically, effectively slap it off.

If there are a lot of Republican politicians acting too much like Democrats, that means Democratic ideologies are spreading into Republican territory as PROVEN by this last election, and it shows that in order for Republicans to win elections they NEED to act like Democrats.SNIFF
