If you want NO part of America, go to Africa and START YOUR OWN....there is PLENTY of ROOM!
As the father of a bay area law enforcement officer, I continue to be in grief over the outrages, cold blooded murder committed last Saturday against four of the most wonderful police officers. The press was called on the carpet yesterday at their memorial service - and they need to be called out to be purveyors of truth, not proganda at every point. Cities like Oakland will continue to wallow in their own sewage by giving into the 2% of the population that is holding them hostage. Shame on the press, the Oakland City Council and left backed groups like this for commmiting this outrage on all of us.

Obama Says A Baby Is A Punishment
Obama: If they make a mistake, I dont want them punished with a baby.
I mean, if you're not going to celebrate a man who murdered four police officers after hauling a 12 year old girl off the street at gunpoint and raping her (reportedly along with several other girls according to law enforcement), who are you going to celebrate?
So... there were several other girls who helped this man rape the 12 year-old? Wow, that's even more messed up.
I have a feeling you are sticking a fork in me for not being clear enough in my language - and I’ll fall upon my own fork.
I intended to indicate that Mixon raped several girls (including a 12 year old who had his DNA in her), and apologize for any possible confusion.
This is, of course, why rat poison has to have detailed warning labels to officially and legally state that the product is not for human consumption.
Ray,
I didn’t do enough to express the character of the officers who were murdered. And I appreciate that you noted that.
Police officers are no more “perfect” than any of the rest of us. But - as a former reserve police officer myself - I can attest to the fact that they are doing a hard job, and that society itself hangs in the balance. Anyone who doesn’t want to watch a complete societal breakdown should be supporting the police and the officers and agents who make up departments and agencies across the country.
Brace yourselves, folks. There’s a 2 percenter in the WH.
Your two comments hit the head on the nail.
First off, the “2 percenters” appear to be those who suffer no moral restraints. They will lie, distort, and resort to intimidation tactics and even violence to get their way.
See, for example, the anti-Prop 8 crowd, engaging in harasment and intimidation to target people for the “crime” of contributing to the Prop 8 campaign. Is there an ANTI-anti-Prop 8 campaign to target homosexuals and those who contributed to the “No on 8” campaign? Of course not. One side practices restraint; the other has no restraint.
I just wrote an article on the “card check” issue - and how unions harassed, intimidated, and threatened workers at a Dana Corp plant in Albion, Indiana. Were the pro-union people harassed and intimidated? Of course not.
And now we have a man whose history shows one thing: Marxist activist. And the “2 percenter” view becomes the law of the land.
Second of all, telling African-Americans to return to Africa is disingenuous and gives ammunition to critics who think FR is nothing but a hate site. There are plenty of blacks who love America and its traditions and wouldn't go back to Africa if you paid them a million dollars.
And last, I just want to add that it's discouraging that Rush or Hannity or the RNC didn't issue a statement in support of the police.
Actually Ann, if Brown did make sympathetic statements for the cop-killer, then he is a POS. I guess I need to see the video first before jumping the gun
I wouldn’t call Willie Brown “one of he good ones.” He was a doctrinaire liberal. Among his “contributions” was this:
During the reapportionment of Congressional and legislative districts in 1981, Brown used the occasion to shore up his support among Democrats with a redistricting plan masterminded by his political mentor, Congressman Phillip Burton. The plan gave Democrats a lopsided advantage in California’s congressional delegation and in the Legislature.
Creating incredibly bizarre political landscapes in order to create political advantage doesn’t make one “one of the good ones” in my book. Brown’s political gimmickry created “safe” districts that has itself created an incredible climate of political animosity as the hard core in safe seats of both parties tee off on one another.
But Willie Brown is another issue.
You are, of course, right: there ARE plenty of decent black people. But I doubt very much if Ann was telling THEM to “go to Africa.” Rather, she? was telling supporters of a rapist cop killer to go back to Africa. A rather important distinction.
As for the “go home” thing, I guess I see it both ways. The people who would seize on someone saying “Go back to Africa!” to express their righteous and legitimate outrage over people supporting a rapist and murderer of four police officers to call that person “racist” are every bit as guilty (more, I would argue) as the person saying, “Get the hell out of my country!”
And I don’t know about Rush or the RNC, but Sean Hannity DID issue a clear very pro-police statement on his program when he covered this.
Just saying.
I would also ask you this question:
Given that it was a black group, bearing the name “Democratic,” why is your outrage directed at Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and the RNC?
Should blacks and Democrats be the ones saying, “These people sure don’t represent us, and we condemn them?”
In fact, shouldn’t there be a counter-march in Oakland, where not just a few, but tens of thousands, of black people come out to support the police and prove that the Democratic Uhuru Movement doesn’t support them?
Again, just saying.
As a point on YOUR side, Extremely, I did see the video, and Willie Brown condemned the Uhuru movement and said it was 1) counterproductive, and 2) turned people against blacks.
Brown did not deserve any criticism for his remarks on the Mixon issue that I recall hearing.
My “not one of the good ones” statement most certainly does not put him in the league of the FAR,far worse nasties we see on the left every day today.
Nope. He's a politician, therefore a POS.
Second of all, telling African-Americans to return to Africa is disingenuous and gives ammunition to critics who think FR is nothing but a hate site.
I no longer care, and I say that without having any idea what color you are.
There are plenty of blacks who love America and its traditions and wouldn't go back to Africa if you paid them a million dollars.
I'm glad. So what? Their numbers and opinions are inconsequential compared to the vast majority of their fellow blacks. In my experience, the average black person hates Whitey and has no great love for America and its traditions.
And last, I just want to add that it's discouraging that Rush or Hannity or the RNC didn't issue a statement in support of the police.
It doesn't discourage me. I don't expect radio entertainers to weigh in on the hatred of civilization that festers within the black community in our cities today. To do so is to risk the all-important stream of commercial advertising money that pays for their jets, real estate, and Cuban cigars.
There are many African Americans who love the US (and should just start calling themselves Americans, btw), and I agree that the GOP and others should support the police. This was a cold blooded attack, and I can’t understand why black people were praising it (any more than I can understand why they were praising those guys who raped and killed a group of young whites in Witchita a few years ago).
Willie Brown is Bill Clinton with a race change. He was a personality that you either loved or hated, was connected with every wheeler-dealer in the universe, but was also fairly competent and SF did not plunge into a tailspin when he was mayor. SF could have done a whole lot worse than Willie Brown.

LOL - Maybe so. I wasn’t trying to be a dick or anything. Just pointing out that that it parses differently than intended.
But thank you for being gracious about my pointing it out.
