Should the government collapse, the United States fears thousands of Mexicans will attempt to flee across the U.S. Border
I'm sure the socialist in the White House and socialists in Congress and will respond by opening the floodgates.

I’ve got a week’s vacation booked in Puerto Vallarta.
Any chance they could wait until May 18th???

Yet, they’ve secured the OUTBOUND border, rather than the INBOUND border. Makes perfect sense to me.

I don’t know why the hell they’d want to come here. Our “government” is getting ready to collapse too!

Possible? Its already a failed state. You have about 15 families, all with drug/corruption ties that own basically everything, a huge insurgent drug war, and millions of their citizens that have been flowing over our border along with God knows who else for a long time. Possible?

Uh oh. Better give Geithner more powers.

So tell me again how we’ll know the government collapsed?
I guess ‘cause Carlos Slim will be one of the “wetbacks”.

I was wondering if this wasn’t why they have planned “camps” on some bases.

Post armed American citizens on the Mexican border, as we should be doing anyway.

I have had several Americans who live in Mexico, and several who travel in Mexico tell me that this is all hype. I believe what I read and hear on the news but frankly, I am feeling a little confused by all the conflicting stories. We decided a number of years ago, after having a couple of bad experiences in Mexico, that we would not go back, and we are sticking to it.

How many fled north during the Mexican Revolution?

[You have about 15 families, all with drug/corruption ties that own basically everything. . .]
The oligarchy has always been the main obstacle to democracy, civil rights and economic development. Their monopolies stifle competition and pay scales and breed the economic refugees that have flooded the U.S. The institutionalized corruption they foster reaches all the way to Washington. That may be why we spend billions on border security and social services for illegals instead of surgically removing the cabal that causes all this misery.

the United States fears thousands of Mexicans will attempt to flee across the U.S. BorderWith 12 million here already, "thousands" just sounds pitiful. What? Are there so few left to flee?
