WashingtonNot taking education lightly, the U.S. Senate has drawn up their own version of H.R. 1388: Generations Invigorating and Volunteerism Act, a bill introduced by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy, D-NY, and aimed at expanding service learning programs by offering year-round opportunities to children and youth and providing service opportunities for retirees.
The bill also requires that the Director of the Corporation for National and Community Service to encourage members of the Baby Boom generation to volunteer. Feeling that the U.S. House approach didnt go far enough, Sen. Harry Reid, D-NV, has introduced his version: T.A.K.E. (Tax And Keep Educating).

.......Feeling that the U.S. House approach didnt go far enough, Sen. Harry Reid, D-NV, has introduced his version: T.A.K.E. (Tax And Keep Educating). I love your writing. I hope you know that. I'm a proud member of your ping list.
I am compelled to take exception with this particular Thread.
Allow me to explain.....
PLEASE Don't give those lib clowns any ideas.
IF Harry Reid were to be aware of this he would introduce such a bill (T.A.K.E) in only a matter of hours.
Thank you for your contributions to this fine forum and your many kind considerations.
Respectfully,

No problem. You aren’t the first to voice that opinion. No big deal.

Sometimes i get the feeling that the nObama administration is getting their ideas from you. Maybe you need to tone it down a little, throw a monkey wrench into their machine.

If you wrote it, it would be entertaining, you can’t help yourself. But your satires are so convincing that you almost convince me that they were written by a looney liberal, even when I know better.
