I’ve long advocated that they become non-profits, just to get the profit incentive out... in the hopes of getting actual, unbiased, and unfiltered information out to the population.

They’re losing money, so in a sense they’re already “non-profit”.
Works pretty well at shutting up and emasculating the Church.
