One man was killed and another seriously wounded in a shootout inside a Miami Burger King on Tuesday, officials said.
Police said a man wearing a ski mask walked into the store at Biscayne Boulevard and 54th Street and demanded money from a clerk.
A customer, who has a concealed weapons permit, pulled a gun, said Officer Jeff Giordano, a Miami police spokesman.
The customer and robber exchanged fire.
The robber was shot dead at the scene.
The customer, who had several gunshot wounds, was taken to Ryder Trauma Center in serious but stable condition, said Lt. Ignatius Carroll, a Miami Fire Rescue spokesman.
At about 4 p.m., officials got several 911 calls reporting people shot inside the Burger King.
A ski mask on an 80-degree is a bit of a tipoff.
Happy the customer won and prayers for his recovery.
The guy goes to get a burger and ends up having to shoot someone and get shot at.
Another happy ending.
I had no idea the competition in fast food was getting that serious.
And thats why I carry a 45 acp. The robber wouldn’t be getting any shots off after a hit center mass.
That customer saved a bunch of people and in the process got rid of a piece of scum for society (and he wasn’t looking for trouble, he just stepped up and dealt with it when it reared its ugly ski mask).
Hope we find out who it is. I’ll send him a card.
The good guys are arming themselves. They know they can’t count on a fast enough police response. Expect to see this happen much more often, at least in red states.
Prayers that the customer recovers A-OK.
I love that idea we should all send him a card and with a few dollars in it if you can!
Prayers for the hero and thanks to all who have and use their CCW permits
.
Interesting.
“but you have to worry about what’s down range with a .45”
Not any more than any other caliber and a lot less than a 357 or 44.
I’d say it’s even odds that the customer is/isn’t even thanked by BK.
Have it your way... double lead, hold the mercy.
not just a .45, any caliber’s bullet, always.
Me to. Glock 36
so I want to account for each round
