Americans Largely Silent as Their Nation is Systematically Destroyed

and the people still sit silent as they watch Obamanation grow in unbridled power.

Geithner Asks Congress for even Broader Power to Seize private Firms as the average American stumbles through their daily routine as if nothing is happening.

(snip)

The American people would never trade personal freedom for the false promise of federally redistributed free-stuff under some ill-fated socialist experiment, unless they were first threatened with a soup line existence.

And so it shall be…

(snip)

With their backs against the wall, confused by a daily diet of media manipulated headlines aimed at scaring the public into submission, convinced that our nation’s complex woes demand a solution far too complicated for the average peasant to comprehend, the people find themselves in a state of terminal paralysis.

What makes you think I’m not doing all I can?

What are you doing? What have you done for your country lately?

No. We can act in a principled yet practical manner to begin to take this country back.

What do you recommend? We can shout until we are blue in the face. We vote, but ACORN-style voter fraud disenfranchises us. The Supreme court won't even hear a case over Obama's birth certificate. It isn't bad enough for armed rebellion yet.

Most working-class people are mad as hell, but still expecting someone else to fix the problem. I've been trying to drum up support for the Tea Party on April 15, but most people aren't willing to burn a vacation day for it because they "need" that day in June or July for their annual trip to see the Mouse.

This is where the Obamatons have us beat. They're willing to protest everything, while we are still embarrassed or too busy to show up at a protest rally. Protesting just isn't a "middle class" thing to do in this country. We picture kids, aging hippies, and minorities protesting, but just can't imagine ourselves in a mob screaming "Hell No!"

We need some "community organizer" training to teach us how to whip the mob into a frenzy. If Obama is going to turn America into a banana republic, we better learn how to get things done, banana republic style!

I think that "principled yet practical" politics in this day is the equivalent of being a Redcoat on the road between Lexington and Concord. We can complain about their unfair tactics all we want, but they are killing us and don't seem interested in fighting according to our rules.

Well, go ahead, Mr. USA, make a big, dramatic move. No one is stopping you.

Silence is implicit consent and explicit and loud if you`re sitting in the White house.

You’re encouraging people to take action, but the only action I see you taking is blathering on and on on the internet. Nothing wrong with that, of course — but please, until you have your own army, spare me the old Spirit of ‘76 routine.

PROTIP: All the tea parties and calls to your congressman in the world won’t change a damned thing, because the average American supports the policies of the president. That’s right — the average American is on the other side of the issues.

You guys wanted a democratic republic — enjoy the results.

but they are killing us and don't seem interested in fighting according to our rules.

I reached the conclusion some time ago that "they" aren't the problem. The problem is with "us."

Solve the problem with "us," and "they" don't stand a chance.

That's what I believe.

Thank you for your analysis. You make way more sense than all the would-be Patrick Henrys on FR.

America is being turned into a banana republic. But the way to get things done, banana republic style, is to lay low and shut up so that the death squads don’t come for you.

Until we have death squads, all this talk of taking up arms and so forth is time-wasting twaddle.

Having a generation or two that have been "re educated" already in the form of rewriting American History in the Schools, aka Dumbing Down, has exacerbated the symptoms of Apathy! The US Government has all the tools to keep Joe Normal in a semi/real state of fear and intimidation.

Having known many 100's of people that I have spoken with during my short 54 years I have seen it all to often that most are fearful of ??UPSETTING?? the master and having any one of 10+ Federal/State agencies swoop down on them and destroy them!

Watching from outside of the Box I am amazed at the progress but not at all suprised at the situation that is happening in the States. For some time I have been stating that my generation would be the one that would put the final nail into the coffin of the Constitution and is no suprise with me.

60's Radicals are in control and learned their lessons well about !!CHANGE!! being easier to accomplish from the inside! This and a hundred + years of slowly chipping away at the very roots of the Foundation of the US throught all 3 branches of the Federal Government.

Is America finished? God only knows the answer to this and I know I won't be alive long enough to see the end result.

“You guys wanted a democratic republic — enjoy the results.”

Speak for yourself, as it appears you are. I want a “constitutional republic.” The same form of government founded in 1776. Not this bastardized democracy of mob rule by the Chicago mob.

I might also recommend that you speak more carefully when you don’t know for sure who you are talking to or what you are talking about. This won’t be my first war. How bout you?

Well, go ahead, Mr. USA, make a big, dramatic move. No one is stopping you...PS — Be sure to write and tell us about life in the SuperMax.

I fail to see how Pride in the USA calling for all "to do something on the same day at the same time. Shut down government offices by sitting in such tight groups that the senators and representatives can’t wade through the crowds to get to work. Be visible and use all legal means at our disposal… We need to make the Million Man March look like a cake walk" merits your comment about HER (I know her well) ending up in a maximum security prison. Your comment is out of line.

FWIW, Pride in the USA, your comment makes you worthy of the screen name you have chosen. Let's pray that something happens to stop this trainwreck before it's too late. I agree that the popular conservative pundits of radio, if they were ever to band together in coordinating a unified response, would galvanize millions.

I agree 100%. “They” are just doing what they have been trained to do from birth: to be a parasite and a threat to the social order if offended or if the freebies get cut off.

“We” do what we’ve been trained to do: be productive and be quiet. If you do that, you are rewarded with a career, a credit rating, and all the “stuff” you care to own. Any deviation may result in a criminal record, and then all that is gone forever.

When the productive people are ready to put it on the line, then we can win. As long as we all sit on the sidelines, quietly cheering, but counting on someone else to do the protesting, we lose.

Obama and Pelosi need to see people taking days off from work to protest to know that we’re serious. It will be a great day for America when a million people take a week off from work to converge on DC to meet Rush (Boortz? Hannity? Palin? Steele? Gingrich? Anyone?) on the steps of the Capitol and tell the REAL Chattering Class that we’ve had enough.

“The dumbing down of society is finally paying dividend to our liberal masters”
“When the left got the educational system, we were basically done. “

Our only hope for education is getting rid of the teachers union and that will be just a first step. The dumbing down of our society and take-over of our educational system took a lot of time and patience on the part of the left. We can’t expect to reverse this without persistence.
