No. We can act in a principled yet practical manner to begin to take this country back.

What do you recommend? We can shout until we are blue in the face. We vote, but ACORN-style voter fraud disenfranchises us. The Supreme court won't even hear a case over Obama's birth certificate. It isn't bad enough for armed rebellion yet.

Most working-class people are mad as hell, but still expecting someone else to fix the problem. I've been trying to drum up support for the Tea Party on April 15, but most people aren't willing to burn a vacation day for it because they "need" that day in June or July for their annual trip to see the Mouse.

This is where the Obamatons have us beat. They're willing to protest everything, while we are still embarrassed or too busy to show up at a protest rally. Protesting just isn't a "middle class" thing to do in this country. We picture kids, aging hippies, and minorities protesting, but just can't imagine ourselves in a mob screaming "Hell No!"

We need some "community organizer" training to teach us how to whip the mob into a frenzy. If Obama is going to turn America into a banana republic, we better learn how to get things done, banana republic style!

I think that "principled yet practical" politics in this day is the equivalent of being a Redcoat on the road between Lexington and Concord. We can complain about their unfair tactics all we want, but they are killing us and don't seem interested in fighting according to our rules.

I reached the conclusion some time ago that "they" aren't the problem. The problem is with "us."

Solve the problem with "us," and "they" don't stand a chance.

That's what I believe.

Thank you for your analysis. You make way more sense than all the would-be Patrick Henrys on FR.

America is being turned into a banana republic. But the way to get things done, banana republic style, is to lay low and shut up so that the death squads don’t come for you.

Until we have death squads, all this talk of taking up arms and so forth is time-wasting twaddle.

I just read a great firsthand account of the real Boston Tea Party (the second section of the page):

(nice site too)

I recommend dressing up as American Indians on the warpath. Politically incorrect, historically correct (as are many things). Might even make identification tricky.

Have fun!
