Despite the title, I have nothing against Meghan McCain. I am sure she is a very nice person, and I'm sure she will accomplish plenty before her life is complete. Frankly, I am sure that so far she has accomplished more than me. That said, at this point, her main resume point is a very accomplished dad. That's what I was thinking as I watched her exchange pot shots with several prominent conservative thinkers. Whatever her name, there is no reason why she has any more credibility speaking about the direction and future of the Republican party than any obscure blogger anywhere. As such, there was really no reason for any prominent conservative to respond to her.

By choice she has chosen to defend his philosophy that is destroying the CONSERVATIVE philosophy. She deserves all the criticism she gets when people do NOT agree with her.

If she had remained private there would be no problem. Now that she has stuck her neck out into the political arena she can expect her opinions to be put under the microscope. So far she has not fared well.

She can take the criticism and in fact her profile has been raised dramatically. Frankly, she didn’t deserve the criticism because she has no relevance yet. People don’t need to respond to each and every criticism thrown at them. That is beneath most people.
Who cares what McCain thinks the future of the Republican should be? Since when does she have the credibility to matter?

I totally agree with this article. She is a nobody from a political family. Her opinion is no more important than Paris Hilton.
The author is right. Ingraham really stepped into it by acknowledging Meghan's comments. Coulter did the right thing by ignoring her, just like Rush ignored Al Franken years ago.

The LEFT loves to elevate their own - especially if they are confused RHINO’s. She DESERVES every criticism out there. When you speak out i public, it is our right, First Amendment to respond. Meghan is not about that. The LEFT is using her and it is not “beneath” anyone to repsond to her idiotic RHINO philosophy.

The only reason she’s getting any press is because she’s been bad-mouthing Conservatives. Like her father, she’s a useful idiot for the media and their ilk.
Actually, she’s fared very well. She is all over tv, radio, and in writing.
Like the article points out, she has every right to voice her opinion, and every right to be paid if someone pays her, but no right to matter.
By responding to her, she now matters. She has been given credibility she doesn’t deserve by having people that do matter respond to her.

Exactly...who gives a flying fig what she says in public or in private...she is entitled to her opinion as are those who criticize her. But the fact remains she is irrevelant. Ignore her and she will go away.
