Secret Moves to Ban Guns Under Way
From Sea to Shining Sea ^ | 3/21/09 | Purple Mountains

When Barack Obama said he supported the Supreme Court decision upholding the Constitutionality of the Second Amendment and the private ownership of guns, we knew he was lying – just as he lied about public financing of his campaign, earmarks, and not hiring lobbyiests. It was just part of his campaign to fool everyone into thinking that he was a moderate.

It hasn’t taken long, but already steps are being taken to restrict gun ownership; some steps are secret and sneaky; some are out in the open.

Definitely a move will be made to take up the guns. The leftist agenda can NOT proceed without the removal of the citizens’ ability to defend themselves from tyrannical government. Obama and Michelle live in a moral vacuum which only evil can fill.

Please allow me to go on my Saturday Morning Rant. America is in DEEP SH&%. If fact, so deep that it is unlikely we will ever live to see a value based, conservative, honest, god loving, secure, sovreign, capitalist, world respected, noble, proud, self reliant, militarily superior, truely free way of life again. EVER. So now we reap what we sow. And it's just as much conservatives faults as it is the wacko left wing marxist slugs. Why? Because we didn't stand up and fight for our sovreignty or stand up and fight for God in our lives, or stand up and fight for capitalism or anything else for that matter. We laid down mid field and let them run it into the end zone! and you know exactly what END ZONE i'm talking about! How does it feel?

The only way to crawl back to what America was is to take to the streets, stand up and be heard before that becomes illegal. Do what ACORN did, only do it for a Conservative America. Lets STOP laying down complaining, lets stop whining about it. GET MOTIVATED. errrr! I feel better

If they had any balls, they would not cower to secrecy and just step up to what they want to do. Doing it in secret, just says that they know what they are doing is wrong and shouldn’t be doing it.

EDITORIAL: Guns on a plane
Obama secretly ends program that let pilots carry guns

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

“Armed pilots are a cost-effective backup layer of security. “

“About 70 percent of the pilots at major American carriers have military backgrounds. “

“Frankly, as a matter of pure politics, we cannot understand what the administration is thinking. Nearly 40 House Democrats are in districts were the NRA is more popular than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. We can’t find any independent poll in which the public is demanding that pilots disarm. Why does this move make sense?

Only anti-gun extremists and terrorist recruits are worried about armed pilots. So why is the Obama administration catering to this tiny lobby at the expense of public safety? “

They cannot leave it alone. tolerance is not in their nature. They truly are like a moth to the flame. All who think the 2A is about hunting need to wakeup. Hunting will soon be outlawed on the current path.

The Second Amendment is not about the right to shoot, it is about the right to shoot back.

And it's just as much conservatives faults as it is the wacko left wing marxist slugs.

Real conservatives have been making a stand. Don't confuse real conservatives with the republicans like Juan McCain that call themselves conservative but are anything but conservative.

It's the McCain's that have turned the republican party into democrat lite. But it's the DeMint's, the Sanford's, the Palin's, the Jindal's that will get it back.

The article overstates its case. When discussing firearms ownership, care must be exercised to stay with facts and not overreach one's facts in hand.

The only "secret" measure here is the back-room move to restrict carrying of firearms aboard aircraft by licensed airline personnel. The Feinstein legislative bagatelle, whatever one thinks of it (not much), isn't secret.

When they come for the guns, the trouble really begins.

“Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace.” — James Madison

We are at two down and counting.

The Heller decision was Earth shaking, and the liberals are trying their darnedest to ignore it, and get everybody to think that nothing happened. But really big things went down in the Heller decision.

The Second Amendment went through a sort of rebirth last year, when a crystal clear ruling from the US Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment does indeed protect an individual right to keep and bear arms. And it spelled out two primary purposes, that applied to the Second Amendment, neither of which includes duck hunting. The first was the right to self defense. Isn't that one obvious? The second is the right to defend country against all enemies foreign and domestic. The Heller decision did establish that common infantry weapons available to the military were in fact the weapons that were to be protected from government. That would be those 'black scary' weapons Diane Feinstein is always waving around saying they should be banned.

A recent Gallup poll finds that an overwhelming majority of the American public, 73% believes that the Second Amendment guarantees the right of Americans to own firearms. This is without the benefit of probably a majority of the public even being aware of the Heller decision, much less what it encompassed -- The liberals and their parrot media intend to keep it that way.

Consider that socialism and Communism in it's varying forms killed 100-125 million people throughout the 20th century, in pursuit of perfection. With most tyrannies, one the first things they do is limit the right of the public to obtain military style arms. Next time you hear some socialist extolling the virtues, you might want to bring this up.

And yes, Feinstien has stated her intent to try and reinstate the AW ban this year.

Doing it in secret, just says that they know what they are doing is wrong and shouldn’t be doing it.

All one needs to do to know how Obonga is going to govern is to list his campaign promises in column A and list the opposite in column B. Column B is how he'll really govern.

How many times did he and his minions use the word 'transparency' in the campaign?

Column A - transparency
Column B - secrecy

I had a vivid dream last night that involved thugs coming to my door to search my house. Today I am thinking that if we are not collectively willing to voice our displeasure with this government right now, in a peaceful Constitutionally protected way, then it may be a good time to hide our hardware away until things get so bad that we will have to make a stand. Having no faith in my countrymen to take any kind of proactive stance as a group, I am going to look for places to conceal my tools.

Agreed! But it's also the couch potato(e) republicans that don't go out and get behind these conservatives. I'm just looking to get a real movement going here. a goold old "Back to what made America Strong" movement. Sure hope it can happen. I'll be a strong part of it, always have been.

from article: “It hasn’t taken long, but already steps are being taken to restrict gun ownership; some steps are secret and sneaky; some are out in the open.”

Your comment is what we call, “baiting”. It’s a favorite technique of liberals who are all over the internet trying to obfuscate and destroy the meanings of conservative blogs.

They're so sure of the oak-tree-seed's control of our election process that they feel safe ignoring their constituents.

Honestly I think you’re preaching to the choir here. Many FReepers did a lot this election cycle to try to stop Dumb0’s run to the White House. I know I did more than I ever have and only wish it had been somewhat effective.

So are you living your rant or just ranting?

I cannot speak for other states, but here in Texas such "confidence" and arrogance has an adverse reaction. This is still Texas where I live.

The classic definition of a “Control Freak” is someone who absolutely, positively cannot sleep at night for fear that someone, somewhere might be living a life not subject to the freak’s influence.

Such characters, not surprisingly, are disproportionately attracted to careers in government.

I just got this today:

Georgia Arms is the 5th largest retailer of .223 Ammo in America. (they sell 9 mm, .45, etc)

They normally buy spent brass from the US Dept of Defense – ‘one time used’ shell casings by our Military – from training on Military bases, etc. They buy the brass and then re-load for resale to Law Enforcement, Gun Shops, Gun Clubs, etc.

They normally buy 30,000 lbs of spent brass at a time.

This week the DoD wrote a letter to the owner of Georgia Arms and said that from now on the DoD will be destroying the brass – shredding it. It is no longer available to the Ammo makers – unless they just buy it in a scrap condition (which they have No use for). BTW - The brass is NOW going to be sold by the DoD to China as scrap - for less money than Ammo manufacturers have been paying for the shells before processing to destroy. That sure helps the US economy now, doesn’t it? Sell cheaper to China – and do not sell shells at all to a proven US business. Any agenda working here????

The Georgia Arms owner even related a story that one of his competitors had already purchased a load of brass last week – and the DoD contacted him this week and said they were sending someone over to make sure it was destroyed. Shell Casings he had already bought! THE BRASS HAS NO VALUE TO THE AMMO MAKER IF IT IS DESTROYED/SHREDDED/MELTED. HE ONLY USES IT TO RELOAD DIFFERENT CALIBERS - MAINLY .223 BULLETS.

Georgia Arms owner says that he will have to lay off at least Half of his 60 workers, within 2 – 3 months if the DoD no longer sells their spent brass to him. He has 2 – 3 months inventory of shells to use. By summer - he’s out.

You can read the info and see the DoD letter to Georgia Arms here:
