In a short essay, An American Amendment, Nick Rosenkranz proposes a constitutional amendment:
"This Constitution was ordained and established by the People of the United States, and so it shall not be construed by reference to the contemporary laws of other nations."
Interesting.
I have no problem whatsoever with that amendment.
The inference is that the Constitution must be “construed”. The fact of the matter is that the constitution is written in English, is not very complicated, and when it doubt there is plenty of background from the actual writers, of the parts in question, that explain it perfectly well. Of course our government is so far past any Constitutional principle as it is, any amendment to make it otherwise would be fruitless.
Libs forget thats why we require the President to be a natural born citizen, prohibt the establishment of a national religion and titles of nobility.
