I’m glad Fox is taking on some of these jerks but this sort of thing happens way too often on the channel. The problem is these sort of confrontations do practically nothing to inform the public about the issues, yet they keep having these talk-over “interviews” time after time after time. I understand the effect of showing the public how snarky these interviewees are but it’s almost become like some kind of parlor game to go on television and score points by nonstop talking over the host. When we cheer these kinds of confrontations we just encourage Fox to keep doing them. We are already a society ruled by emos, we don’t need to have regular features on news programs which serve only to inflame our emotions ever further without the concomitant benefit of becoming informed. If Fox is unwilling to either vet the interviewee to insure an intelligent debate, or to cut off the interviewee not just at the end but during the questioning, then I have no respect for Fox’s tactics. (Now back to our Megyn promo)
