Gov. Sarah Palin is sending two lawmakers a stern warning about a natural gas pipeline's probe that will have its' first hearing Thursday afternoon.
Palin calls Rep. Jam Ramras, R-Fairbanks, and Rep. Craig Johnson's, R-Anchorage, resolution "shortsighted."
The lawmakers are asking if spending half a billion state dollars, under AGIA, is producing competition between the state backed TransCanada plan, and the producer's Denali plan. If Ramras and Johnson's resolution passes it will put the entire legislature on record asking the administration for an official report.
Palin says the resolution will send the business community a dangerous message.
In light of the resolution's first hearing, the governor said it was time for a pipeline update. Palin, and her gasline team, say the project is moving forward thanks to AGIA creating pipeline competition.
"I don't think anybody can argue that," Palin says. "Because today after the competitive process called AGIA we have two projects progressing."
Over and over Wednesday the administration tried to dispel any thought AGIA is not driving competition to produce a natural gas pipeline.
Natural Resource Commission Tom Irwin says, "Two and a half years ago we were wondering what we were going to do as a state. Now, we've got competition."

Anyone on or off the Palin ping, write me.
Alaskan voters need to contact these two and let them know, in no uncertain terms, that the voters do not appreciate them undermining this forward-looking and wise initiative that Governor Palin is urging to be implemented.
