In a battle of blonde conservatism, a war of words seems to be heating up.
Meghan McCain, daughter of the former presidential candidate and his wife Cindy, writes about politics and pop culture via her blog for TheDailyBeast.com.
She recently turned her keyboard on Ann Coulter, the acid-tongued conservative commentator, calling Coulter the "poster woman for the most extreme side of the Republican Party."
McCain admitted she's been a Republican for less than a year, but said she's "drawn to GOP ideals" and wants to fight for the party's resurgence.
She also wrote that she is not "suggesting" she should in any way be considered a "voice for the party" but she doesn't think Coulter is doing much to help the Republican agenda.

Um, Meghan, dear, you are a confused RINO.
When she made quip that she didn't want to comment on the economy because she "didn't take ECON in college", I knew she was moderately retarded.
But, so long as she's willing to bash conservatives and Republicans, you can bet someone will be sticking a camera in her face.
Her Father has been in GOP all his life and she has been a Republican for only a year?????
Just goes to show you there are no shared values in that family. Sort of explains McCain’s lack of loyalty in general... Meghan is a chip off the old block.
I’ll side with the one that has never slept with a Muslim.
she’s just a kid
Perhaps they need a **politically** oriented ''reality'' programme, with penalties instead of rewards.
''The Biggest Loudmouth Dumb C---'' comes to mind, but, TV programming is not something with which I'm familiar.
24 is not a ‘kid’.
Why does her weight have anything to do with this discussion?
Well Meghan, we tried it your way.
And look at how that worked out...
So where does Meghan come from, the other "extreme side" of the Republican Party?
She'll be loved by the libs, she practically is one.
Just a tip, Meghan, don't ride your Daddy's coattails...
I don’t have much use for any of them. Meghan’s a liberal who voted for Kerry, Coulter’s a loose cannon who supported Hillary and called for Jews to be “perfected”, and Ingraham’s a populist who admires William Jennings Bryan Democrats.
Don’t hold back there Stu. You do know that when you hold anger in that it can lead to high blood pressure, which can lead to erectile dysfunction, right?
So it’s much better to not edit yourself like that.
;-)
I am 24 and can say most of my friends have a lot of growing up to do.
Yes, they all kind of get on my nerves as well. At the risk of being labeled a chauvinist, all three of them seem to be a bit petty and "catty" at times. FWIW. Maybe that's what it takes to be a professional pundit today.
I do like Monica Crowley. She never seems to throw mud and gives very reasoned and factually based arguments.
I would give her a pass, but she grew up in a political family. Not your ordinary 24 year old.
“Catty” isn’t the first word I’d use to describe them, but I have to agree that Laura’s comment about Meghan’s weight was quite catty. It was immature and shallow and made Meghan look like the victim, which isn’t helping the conservative cause.
And a fat-assed one at that.
Her daddy is a RINO LOSER. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
STFU Meagan, we don’’t want anymore gd RINOS like you and your dad.
Prove they're really blondes!
