Alaska governor Sarah Palin strode through the produce section of Juneau's Fred Meyer supermarket Saturday morning, smiling and waving with an entourage of youngsters in tow.
"These are my children, Willow, Piper and [11-month-old] Trig," Palin told an excited group of Girl Scouts. Then Palin, 45, motioned to a baby bundled in a hoodie, held and bottle-fed by Piper. "And this is my grandbaby Tripp," she said of the infant son of her daughter Bristol, 18.
"He's only 2-months-old. It's kind of surreal!," she added.
Palin was taking a break from governing the nation's largest state to help Juneau's Girl Scout Troop 32 sell cookies after the group lost all for their previous proceeds in a robbery the week before. "I read about it in the newspaper and I said, 'Well, me and the kids have an hour on Saturday, let's go down and help,'" she explained. "This age is so precious."

Why are you being so needlessly insulting?
How is she supposed to rebuild her image that was trashed last year?
She’s running for re-election you know.
He hates anything conservative. Early sign up dates mean nothing.
You got that right - that's why I held my nose and voted for McCain/Palin last go 'round...
***Sooner or later, Palin is gonna realize some folks just aint gonna vote for her because theyre tired of hearing about her.***
Okay, let’s all vote for someone we can’t find out anything about, like Obama.
Maybe she and her daughters could actually keep their drawers up.
Ya, know I have the same situation...Thank God for caring Grandma’s and Grandpa’s!!! It’s hard facing the judgement of this kind of situation, but if you know the Lord, He will give you the best advice...Forget all the voices who know better than Him. It is comforting to know you have a friend in the Lord of Lords when other people are their to judge the situation...All things work together for good, for those who know Him! That is the wholehearted difference of knowing a loving God and for those who seek His council rather than seeking the good graces of man.
Seems you've fallen for it.
You are a complete and utter moron who only posted that to get a reaction. It worked. Fool.
I'll admit she wasn't quite ready for prime time- especially when hitched to McQuisiling. Still, on her own, free from the 'handlers' and having some time to 'brighten' her convictions this diamond in the rough will shine like no other in the next election cycle.
You'll know just how brilliant she'll be by the Left's efforts to tarnish her. They're screwed in '012 and they know it. Sarah is from Alaska- the Last Frontier. The symbolism ought to scare.
America as we know it may be teetering on an edge. As a former Alaskan, she represents something those of us in the lower 48 can only partially appreciate. Alaska is big (almost twice the size of Texas and we got it cheap from Russia), Sarah is big.
This is a girl I could enthusiastically vote for president. Her heart's in the right place. And, I wouldn't be the first to have traveled to Alaska looking for gold. At the top of the ticket, she could be the next gold rush. North to Alaska is a direction conservatives might want to consider on their next cruise.
Former “temporary” alaskan here, too...I loved it. Ft. Yukon was my favorite - we could always boat into fish camp. Indian Mountain wasn’t as hospitable but we still made the best of it.
Didn't you get the memo? She's supposed to stay at home like a good Muslim wife.
Mine, too. I click on every Palin pick and then I read all the posts to see if anyone posted pictures of her. I love that woman. She’s my hero.
(I think I have a girl crush on her. And I know I’m not alone in that ;-))
Coldest state, hottest Grandma Governor with the warmest heart, the quickest mind and the most testicular fortitude.
And then she will ......................
Go ahead, fill in the blanks Tom.
Conseratives don't have the luxury of time- as the average voter has demonstated by voting for 'change'.
Real 'change' would be a return to our founding fundamentals- not what we have today. A charismatic conservative could pull this off easily, Sarah's appeal and foundation might be just what it takes to put this train 'back on the track'. Socialist de-railment needs to be called for what it is: bad mojo for America.
Wow way to raise the dialog. It really hurts to be rejected by an intellect such as yourself.
