Here is video of Meghan McCain on The View today where she responded to comments made last week about her by Laura Ingraham. Ingraham criticized McCain for attacking Ann Coulter, and at the end of the segment referred to McCain's weight. McCain is indignant throughout the segment, and of course the "ladies" on The View pile on Laura Ingraham.
It would have been better for Ingraham to have not made the weight remark. She has only helped make a martyr out of McCain and has given her more exposure. But Meghan McCain is wrong about the Republican Party needing to be more moderate, and Laura Ingraham was right to say so. Meghan McCain was introduced on this video as a "conservative" writer for The Daily Beast blog. She is not a conservative and should never be introduced as such. It's pathetic to see her being used by the liberals to attack the GOP. She's enjoying her 15 minutes of fame, and liberals are enjoying it too. . . . . . (Watch Video)

I remember the hags on the view treating her father and mother very poorly. Looks like Ms. Mccain is the azz kisser in this deal.
The View is such a low quality group of so-called women. You really can see what Barbara Walters truly is, watching that show. And sorry, Elizabeth H., you raise the tone a tiny bit, but only a tiny bit.
Why does anyone watch that show? It’s just there to make people look bad.
Just like her twin sister Hasselback, McCain is a conservative in the eyes of the media. That's what conservatives apparently are stuck with on broadcast television.
If Laura went after McCain over weight, regardless of how valid the rest of her point might have been, she lost the argument right then and there.

That's probably true. But, would McCain have even been invited on the View, save for the comment from Ingraham. Well actually, maybe she would have given the conservative bashing that's been coming from Meghan's mouth the last five weeks.
That's the MO of the MSM; Find a conservative, or someone the MSM can portray as conservative and invite them on to tell America how screwed up conservatives are how out of touch with America the GOP party is. That's the narrative every broadcast network follows - Frum, Peggy Noonan, Kathleen Parker, David Brooks and now Meghan McCain - all in a long list of self-loathing pretend conservatives that are given a voice on America's broadcast networks.

McQueeg and the McQueegette are a plague and a pox on the Republican Party. McQueegism is like a virus which will spread and corrupt. What did McQueeg learn from the campaign when his buddies in the MSM turned on him? Obviously nothing. His real enemies remain the conservatives and true Republicans.
Meghan is addicted to the attention from the left.
She has enough money so she doesn’t ever have to have a real job so she’s free to dabble in the inane world of people who view The View.
Ms. McCain suffers from Ron Reagan Jr. syndrome. She knows the only attention she will get is if she attacks the GOP.
Laura went after old Meg on far more than her weight. Don’t fall into Ms McCain’s trap. The little chubby weasel has been out there picking fights with all female conservatives.
Then she runs to liberals like Joy Behar to decry the meaness of a lady like Laura who defends conservative values.
Do not buy into Ms. McCains little game. She is using her little cute chubby face to trap people just like you.
Now go shopping with your celebrutard friends.
Your response to this, is basically exactly what isn’t needed. Calling someone names or picking on their weight etc is not going to win people to your side in any argument.
All it does is give people who might have given you a chance to make a point they might have accepted, an excuse to flatly ignore what you say.
Everyone knows the MSM is biased, big whoop. Griping about that is like griping that the world is round, may make you feel better, but it isn’t going to change anything. I can tell you if Laura insulted McCain over her weight, it won’t matter what the rest of her arguments were, she lost the argument right then and there. Because, at that point the only people left listening to her are the already converted, and preaching to the chior isn’t going to change anything. As I said, Ingraham could have criticized McCain for 99 things and been accurate on all of them, but the minute she insulted her over her weight, she lost all credibility, regardless of the validity of the rest of her points... She gave everyone who isn’t in the chior the ability to flatly dismiss her as rude, mean and spiteful, and so everything else that was said will be worthless.
I know I can sit in a roomful of Conservatives and rip apart dozens of folks for hours and not worry about it, however if my audience is those who are not, and I personally insult a liberal, I’ve lost nearly every moderate/swing/uniformed voter in the room, no matter the validity of everything else I say. That’s reality folks, if your goal is to inform and influence, you lose the argument every time when you attack someone personally to most of your audience that isn’t already hardened for or against you.
Which proves my point even more.. Ingraham's behavior was self defeating.
So, when did someone tell the *View* what they thought mattered?
