Dinners have featured lavish menus including "Celery Soup, Wild Mushroom Crisps, Steelhead Salmon with Citrus sauce, Crispy Spinach, Toasted Saffron Couscous Pearls, Baby Iceberg lettuce with Maytag Bleu Cheese and Yogurt ranch dressing and for dessert, Milk Chocolate velvet cake

Sounds real nice but I wouldn't call it lavish. More like some upscale yuppie gourmet health food bazaar.

George and Weezie started out living next door to Archie and Edith. George worked in a dry cleaning shop which he saved money for and eventually bought. He then built it into the largest chain in the city. By the final run of the Jeffersons, I believe his chain was the largest in the Midwest.

There's plenty to criticize obammy about---this stuff is just downright petty, IMHO. (and makes us look petty for repeating it).

They “got” my piece of the pie, too.

Just last night we sat down and had a discussion about the family budget. Never before have we been in the hole but somehow we fell into it and it’s getting deeper and deeper. We rarely “got” to go out or do any entertaining so it’s a matter of taking frugal to the next level. There will be no spending. We’ll be eating from the pantry and freezer which are, thankfully, well stocked.
