Are you kidding me? He could have least got the man a watch. Or a nice bottle of wine. Hell, even a Snuggie would have been a better gift. George and Weezie are just way out of their league in this realm. And it occurred to me. No doubt these DVDs were made in China. Thanks for supporting the American economy asshat.
As he headed back home from Washington, Gordon Brown must have rummaged through his party bag with disappointment.
Because all he got was a set of DVDs. Barack Obama, the leader of the world's richest country, gave the Prime Minister a box set of 25 classic American films - a gift about as exciting as a pair of socks.
Mr Brown is not thought to be a film buff, and his reaction to the box set is unknown. But it didn't really compare to the thoughtful presents he had brought along with him. Marking the special relationship: The Browns put a lot of thought into their gifts for the Obamas - but the gesture did not seem to be reciprocated
What was in the Box:

Right. Even midget porn would have been a better call. Nothing says let’s be strong allies like “Itty Bitty Gang Bang”.
Oh, which gaffe was this?
Did you read the article? Brown gave him a very symbolic gift. Something with diplomatic significance that required thought. In return, he got movies. That’s only a notch above underwear and socks.
LOL - “overcharge”
Why not? I mean it’s quickly becoming the status quo for this administration...
President Obama got a pen holder carved from the timbers of a 19th Century anti-slaver ship, the original commissioning letter from the HMS President, and a first edition of the official British government biography of Churchill.
Two of the three gifts were priceless and the biography of Churchill ran into the thousands of dollars.
PM Brown left with $85 of DVDs that he will likely never watch as he is not a film fan.
Well, you seem to be stuck on the pragmatism of the gifts. And seem to have a problem with gifts that can’t be “used”.
How’s this? The DVDs were Region 1 DVDs and UK DVD players use Region 2 DVDs. In other words, Brown can’t watch the movies. How’s that watch sounding now?
But Bush almost never went abroad before he became President, so he's a provencial dope.
LOL, George and Wheezy, I love it! How apropos.
Classless POS......
and at my radio show producer's site ThirdWaveDave
Foreign heads are putting two and two together. They are beginning to laugh at the US. Between the Obama’s and Hillary we are becoming a world joke.
You’re kidding right? “Kinda cool”? We need to check the “cool” factor when selecting gifts for our allies? “Cool” is for cheerleading camp and youth group retreats. The British PM gave Obama gifts that express the depth of our relationship to each other. Well, he probably gave the Churchill biographies so the idiot-in-chief might be tempted to learn about the guy whose bust he sent back...someone should have told PM Brown he’d be better off putting the Churchill bio on a teleprompter. The lack of class exhibited is embarrassing. The left thought GW was embarrassing but he NEVER did anything this tactless. I mean, something anyone with an internet connection could order on Amazon...please.

Now THAT is thoughtful! As a black man, I would have been major-league impressed. I hold Obama in complete contempt.
What’s funnier is hearing the Ozombies attempting to justify pissing off Britain. They are torn, they want Britain to love them, but they don’t want to admit their Messiah is a jerk. Oh me oh my, what a dilemna!
