ABC News broke out its thesaurus today in an attempt to say something other than President Obama lied. It appears that after much debate, they decided on the word “mischaracterization.”

I saw this morning on MSNBC (Squawkbox) a female co-anchor go off on Obama mocking those who would believe he would govern from the ‘center’.......and she was quickly shut down by the lead anchor (who also proceeded to insult another floor trader in Chicago).
Obama talking heads are making the rounds repeating this lie this morning.
They don’t care about the facts, just how it sounds so that people will be convinced they are right.
I agree..the tide is not turning. They have to make a comment about the obvious...but in a non demeaning way. If it would have been a republican you’d be seeing news alerts all over main stream media. Look what they are doing to Rush and taking what he said out of context. Takes the focus off the stimulous package.

I mean, they really took him out behind the woodshed and spanked him. It wasn't a throwaway comment by the talking head, it was a 60-second piece on it, with background and citations and everything.

The media can’t afford to cover for him over easily-documented lies. The Internet would be all over it, and their credibility would take a hit that they cannot afford.

On Morning Joe, Peggy Noonan proved she’s still living in the bubble. She opined that since “everyone” has run afoul of the lengthy tax code, we should stop disqualifying “wonderfully capable” people from political appointments due to “little” errors.
She went on to ask an author what role spirit, soul & character plays in surviving crisis. Apparently the irony was lost on her.
