Patriot Room ^ | March 5, 2009 | Bill Dupray

Sen. Mel Martinez (R-Fla.) said Wednesday Republican opponents of the $410 billion omnibus spending bill are within "striking distance" of bringing down the massive measure.

Derailing the spending bill would be a huge victory for Republicans, and they might accomplish the goal with the help of a few reform-minded Democrats.

Cool beans! Was there a sudden shipment of backbones to the Senate?

Don’t worry. Our traitors, Specter, Collins and Snowe will come through for the RATS as usual.

Hey, Melquíades.

I thought you liked big spending just like your ex boss.

What’s the real story? Maybe you are afraid you won’t be elected again?

You are still a RINO.

He’s not running for reelection. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the man running to succeed him is the creepy RINO Crist who makes Martinez look like Jesse Helms. Crist was the biggest RINO Governor supporter of Porkulus and a huge fan of the False Messiah.

No backbones, perhaps just looming (and diminishing) reelection prospects.

If there is a Cong or Senator that received any letters, messages or calls in favor of the crapulous package I would sure like to know about it. I don’t think anyone in media has asked this question. Meanwhile back at the ranch, preparations are being made to go after them before they come after us.....

Sen Nelson-D of Florida can’t vote for it or the Cubans in Florida will vote him out.

And the Rats who are inferring to the GOP that they will vote against the bill will pull a Lucy and take away the ball just as Charlie Brown (the GOP) tries to kick it. Like Charlie Brown, the GOP will find themselves flat on the ground again.

I’m sorry for my mistake. I take it back. I entirely forgot about it.

I didn’t want to believe Crist was anointed. That is why I put it out of my mind.

It sounds like another pay for play.

That Crist, from what I have read, is really warped.

Thank you…I think. ; )

It looks like we may even have a worse case scenario with Crist.

I’ve been too worried about our country and how the crooks are destroying it; therefore, I am not concentrating as I should on the next wave of crooks that are trying to get into office.

Yes, unfortunately I tend get loud at times...It’s a Panamanian thing... Many tend to shout when they get excited. It’s sometimes catching. ; )

My best regards.

By the way, would you know who the group of crooks are who are backing Crist?

Thank you.

Serious question: What is a "reform minded Democrat?" Is that like a "moderate Arab?"

IF you put $100 in the middle of the road and on one corner have a unicorn, the next corner the tooth fairy, the other corner a moderate Arab, and the fourth corner a radical jihadist, who gets the money?

Answer: the jihadist, because the other three are mythical creatures.

Stop lying Dems! I reject the premise of your assertion in blaming Republicans.

You have the senate majority but not the stones to publicly admit that members of your party are balking. You guys can ram through your bills if you weren’t trying to give your democrat members and Zero political cover.

Yes, the Republican establishment. Sen. John Cornyn of TX is actively trying to recruit him. You might give him your most kindest regards relating to the notion of adding another useful idiot cretin for the regime to the caucus.
