A Note to Mr. Steele': SHUT UP!
The Liberty Sphere ^ | 03/03/09 | Welshman

Posted on 03/04/2009 5:41:03 PM PST by Copernicus

The GOP is in disarray, but conservatives aren't. We are as united and determined as ever.....

So, here is MY note to Mr. Steele: 'I don't know what you are, but you AIN'T a conservative! And we don't need you out running your mouth like the other RINOS who have run the Party into the ground. So, SHUT UP!'

Don’t sum it up for me.

Throwing Steele under the bus after one month isn’t what I would consider fruitful for the party.

The MSM amd the rats are trying to destroy and fragment the party and they are doing a good job of it.

Steele apologised to Rush. I believe he was sincere.
Steele was led by a MSM trick question and they are getting exactly the results they were looking for.

This is the best time to throw him under the bus.

He is a gungrabber and a RINO.

If we are ready to throw ObamaNation under the bus after one month, we can sure as heck throw the RNC Chairman under the bus after one month.

Best regards,

Is that the new Republican party motto : “Just STFU” ???

It sounds more like something you’d hear in Hitler Youth, or Young Pioneers.

“Steele apologised to Rush. I believe he was sincere.”

If he was so sincere, why didn’t he apologize immediately until late in the day Monday, after his office was deluged with irate callers? He had all day Sunday and Monday but, until he felt threatened by people leaving the GOP, he had no intention of apologizing.

I hope he keeps talking. America's Independent Party is growing exponentially.

I tend to agree with you, but why did Steele defend agreeing that the party looked like Nazi Germany?

I don't agree. I like Steele. He has a steep learning curve as he comes from a libtard state. I believe he will be very good for the party in the long run. He does need to learn to articulate the principles the party believes in. Such as liberty, personal responsibility, fiscal responsibility, morality, heritage, responsible government stewardship, strong national defense, real education reform....etc. And know why we believe in those things.

I didn’t like his non-response to Nazi quip, but like Sarah Palin with Katie Couric we shouldn’t judge him on one bad performance. Let’s give him another chance.

It’s all right that he waited to apologize.

Because he got lit up by people like you and I who expected him to be better than the past Chairs.

By lighting him up, he now better understands how much we conservatives are passionate about how we want the RNC to treat us and what we expect on his part.

I think Steele will do much better from now on because we have defined his role if he is going to meet our expectations.

I am willing to give him a chance and I think people throwing him under the bus will just embolden the MSM and Rats to throw other divisive things out there for us to fight about.
If we can’t unite the party we are toast. Plain and simple.
I don’t see any other options on the horizon.

I saw Mr. Steele on Hannity tonight and he sounds like a good guy. I hope people will just let it go about what he said on the Hughley show. He has apologized.

Well he did more than not respond to it-- he defended the Nazi Germany comment on Laura Ingraham. Link posted in earlier comment too lazy to get it again.

Concur. Like it or not the Republican Party is vital at the present time. This does not mean that we cannot develop alternatives in parallel, such as the AIP that EV touts, especially in states with essentially one party rule such as Vermont, Mass, Conn, etc. But make no mistake we are running out of time as a nation. It is time to stop bickering among ourselves and move forward against the real enemy of our nation and indeed the world. Marxism / socialism.

For 40+ years the Democrats ruled. For 40+ years the media controlled what the people saw of read and that kept the Democrats in power. The Republicans had control for 12 years and what did they learn? After 40+ years of watching the other side hold power the Republicans understood how to be Democrats.

The difference is when the Dems held power and were caught being crooks, they hunkered down, rode out the storm and stayed in power. Republicans toss each other under the bus and for the most part they are ashamed and step down quickly. Republicans are labeled the party of corruption and the Dems save women, children and baby seals. We have not learned how to compete against the Dems and their media soldiers.

Give Mike Steele time to learn the game, or the media will play it as the party that makes it impossible for blacks and others to survive in a hostile environment.

The republican party is vital? Can you tell me why? I'll tell you why they are not.

They do not stand for anything, no principle, no core value. They are not a political force. They have no power in government. Obama doesn't need them to agree with him to pass virtually anything he, Pelosi or Reid want. Vital? Hardly. And the saddest thing of all is that they brought this upon themselves. They had it all and pissed it away. They have the blueprint to follow and claim it's outdated.

They are the party of big spenders and are completely willing to compromise on and for whatever is expedient. Pick an issue. They have shown themselves to be untrustworthy. Marxism/socialism? Sure, how much do you need?

Vital? Yes, in their present form they are vital to the demonrats.

Do you really want a leader who has to be forced to do the right thing after he has exposed himself by his actions and statements as someone who does not believe in conservatism from his heart on multiple occasions?

Do you really believe he is going to be any better in the future?

Do you really believe he now believes in conservatism?

The times are too perilous to waste time and energy hoping that someone will do the right thing when he is continually opening his mouth and putting his foot in it.

Let me add my voice; STFU.

No, no, no!  English is a beautiful language, use it!

Words like 'shut up,' the overused 'RINO,' and all the other derisive insults are counterproductive to your message.

As conservatives, we should strive to use language well, and stay away from the insults so prevalent in the liberal circles. We are better than that (I think).

You guys out there, stop being armchair generals and use language in a positive way, to the advantage of our conservative cause.

Let me try it...

Mr. Steele, the Republican Party is going through a tough time right now. The Democrats control the WH, the House and Senate.  They can pass laws, appoint judges, and generally do whatever they want.  They enjoy wide mainstream media support and operate without any significant opposition.  The party needs strong leadership.  Joining Obama and his administration is wrong, and his policies are wrong for America because they harm our capitalist society and our way of life.

Sir, this is the time when we need your support and your leadership. We have a two party system, and if you attack one of our own with the idea that it will sound magnanimous to the opposition party, you Sir are in the wrong party. This is not the time to be magnanimous. This is the time for you to you take the lead and show there is a real difference between the Democrats and Republicans.

Continuing to antagonize the conservative base of the Republican Party will only bring further division, and your complicity in that alienation will be playing directly into the hands of the Democrats.

Please, think about the party and the unity President Reagan worked so hard to forge with Reagan's Eleventh Commandment: "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican."

Mr. Steele, stop this “let's get along” posture, as it's only harming our party.  It's time to make the conservative case and provide a real alternative to the Obama administration. If his policies were right for the country, then the Republican party has no reason to exist.
