The Employee Free Choice Act, also known as the Card Check legislation, seems to be bubbling near the surface of the news, although there been little indication that the bill will be in front of the President any time real soon.
The latest is a report in the Wall Street Journal that President Obama has reached out to big labor and told them that Card Check remains a high priority for his agenda. According to the report, the President has promised that he is looking forward to signing the bill when it comes to him, but he apparently neglected to mention the difficulty it will have getting to him. I'm sure he also forgot to mention the difficulty he will have implementing the law even if it is passed.
