You’re right... I must agree. My point to hold them accountable would be useless without that fact.
The only problem is that I’m used to doing that with my children. I feel kind of funny patting a seasoned war-vet on the back because he occasionally pees in the toilet instead of on the lid. My mother made sure I understood she wasn’t going to give me props for doing what was expected of me in the first place, but we do have to show consistency in our thought process.
