Here is video of GOP Congressman Eric Cantor on This Week with George Stephanopoulos yesterday, where Cantor said he did not agree with Rush Limbaugh's hope that President Obama "fail." In fact, Cantor flatly said if he agreed with Limbaugh, "George, absolutely not. I don't think anyone wants anything to fail right now....."
Once again, a GOP leader had the chance to hammer home the principles Limbaugh set forth in his outstanding CPAC speech, and they fumbled the ball. Of course Cantor wants Obama to fail in his push to turn America into a European-style Socialist nation! It's time for Republican leaders to be direct about the truth and stop trying to please the liberal media. . . . . (Watch Video)

Weak-kneed loser.
I want Cantor to fail. Get this tonedeaf moron the hell out of leadership.
Cantor is my Congressman. When he was on with Rush in regard to the “Porkulus Bill” he was dead on and lead the way in giving the dems and BO hell about it. But in typical Republican fashion, cowers at the thought of saying anything negative when on with the MSM. “Dropping the Ball” should be the pubbie slogan.
And now I don’t want Eric Cantor to succeed.
What specific items in the Obama agenda that Rush opposes does Cantor not want to fail?
This is why the Republicans will be a long time in the wilderness if their leading voices keep defending and excusing Obama and failing to fight for their own principles.
The Contract of America was a line in the sand that got the Republicans in power. Until they come up with a new one, the rest of us should take a vacation.
Re: Cantor
If you want to cheer for the other team, go stand on the other side of the field. Have you forgotten how your democrati friends wished out load for Bush to fail?
I was starting to like Cantor, too bad he doesn’t get what Rush said. I hope the VA Conservatives figure it out, I have enough trouble here in PA with good old Arlen.
C’mon Cantor - show some guts. Oh course I want Obama to fail - he’s trying to turn us into Sweden. If people want to live in Sweden then go there and leave the United States to be the United States!
Rino’s make me ill !
“His policies, Eric, his policies!” Geez, lead with your chin, why don’tcha?
What flavor of the koolaid has Cantor been drinking?
OK Eric. Your job is safe for another 2 years as the MSM now loves you. That is, it considers you a weak-kneed, spineless RINO...its favorite type of republican.
Who the hell appointed this idiot a leader? Just another DC politician who wants to keep getting reelected to his seat. Screw him
This "cant'or boy" causes nausea....
Just give me some truth!
Another RINO thrown on the trasheap of history.
Herein lies the problem. These RINOs are all too eager to opine on the policies and the MSM...
HUNTS THEM OUT and calls them the "voice" of the Republicans.
Steele better tell these clowns to stop scraping their knees for the MSM and just STFU!
Did you notice the difference between what Limbaugh said and the way that Snuffleupagus represented it? Erick Erickson did. CANTOR: “George, absolutely not. And I dont I dont think anyone wants anything to fail right now. We have such challenges.”
***”What we need to do is we need to put forth solutions to the problems that real families are facing today. And our common-sense, conservative principles of limited government, and the belief in free markets, and the belief that really opportunity can only be created by the private sector are going to undergird our proposals going forward.”***
STEPHANOPOULOS: OK. Congressman Cantor, thanks very much for your time this morning.
CANTOR: Thank you, George.
That is a total distortion of both how Rush framed his point it was not a blanket wish for Obamas failure, but only failure if his mission is to destroy capitalism and individual liberty and Cantors response.
In fact, in George Stephanopouloss post at ABC News, he completely leaves out the bold faced text of Cantors statement that I highlighted.*** Completely leaves it out. Why? Because it directly reinforces the point Limbaugh was making and George would not then have been able to say Cantor rejected Rush Limbaughs rhetoric.
Hell, Stephy didnt even tell Cantor what Rush really said.

I never heard of this guy up until the past few months. He was a our rising star, a conservative stalwart.
Yeeeeeeeah, right.
I watched him first on Hannity earlier in the week and he refused (several times) to criticize Obama’s stimulus bill, saying, “it’s in the past.”
Then I saw him on ABC THIS WEEK... and what a wimp.
He’s no leader, but a wonkish wimp.
It’s time for panty-waste republicans to get the hell out of Dodge! The fight will only be won by men and women willing to stand up to this socialist power grab by the whack left! Take no prisoners!..,..
I don’t think anyone wants anything to fail right now.....”
Well Mr. Cantor I DO!!!!! and I am proud to say it.
I am going to kick and scream and hang on to the door jam to stop this disasterous march into a socialist america.
These so called conservatives make me sick to my stomach.
