In all the furor yesterday over Rush Limbaugh's tremendous speech at CPAC, I failed to post video of Gov. Mitt Romney's speech. So the video above is of Romney's speech at CPAC 2009. If you want to skip the introductions, Romney actually begins speaking at the 13:00 mark of the video.
Romney turned out to be the winner of the CPAC 2012 Straw Poll, getting 20% of the vote, with Jindal running second at 14%. So, it was a very good day for Romney, who is in a strong position to run again if he chooses to. . . . . . (Watch Mitt Romney's CPAC 2009 Speech)

Where is the guy with the “NOT THIS SHIT AGAIN” picture?
Two-faced Carpetbagger Romney: "Hit the phones today make all the promises you have to,
and
make sure that we get the funds that we need to keep on
propelling this campaign forward with power and energy."
Pres. Romney commenting on Mr. Romney's antics, dirty tricks and bad judgment.
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldnt make any sense at all.""
-- President Ronald Reagan
Sad there are so many lunatics on here obsessed with tearing down a decent man rather than focusing on the real enemy. I am convinced a good deal of them have to be DU trolls sent to divide and conquer.
Romney also cheated. How Romney is that?
To win this straw vote, RINO Romney has had TeamROMNEY attack many people in Feb 2009.
Connect the dots...... Just like in 2007 and 2008, all the HATE and dirty tricks lead back to TeamROMNEY.
Review the attacks this month, FReepers. HOW MANY MUST OCCUR BEFORE IT IS NOT CO-INCIDENCE?
The purpose was to influence this vote --- no matter who was hurt. No matter how much it cost.
Dan Gilgoff is a Romney supporter, fresh
off the bench and in to attack Gov. Palin this month, for backstabber Carpetbagger RINO Mitt Romney.
There are enough attacks against Gov. Palin that this effort is concerted (p < .0001)
BZZZZZZT: The Real Deal is otherwise.
Dan Gilgoff Romney propagandist: "("A Massachusetts Conservative," U.S. News & World Report, 2/12/07)
Romney ... (w)ith a Democratic-controlled state legislature, he managed to
balance the budget without raising taxes."
[Romney called the tax increases "fees", and even raised them in NH !!!]
Joe Scarborough is yet another Romney supporter,
in to attack Gov. Palin this month, for backstabber RINO Mitt Romney.
"Scarborough: Romney Won Debate"
"Mitt Romney Absolutely Dominated"
More dots...... Carol Platt Liebau is yet another Romney supporter,
in to attack Gov. Palin this month, for backstabber Carpetbagger RINO Mitt Romney.
"Mitt Romney has been the most consistently excellent debater overall in the two meetings of the Republican candidates.
He is personable, clearly well informed, incredibly well-funded, and surrounded by a crack staff.
All that, taken together, goes far to explain why his numbers in Iowa -- and elsewhere -- are looking better and better."
"But the other candidate who's very compelling is Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney."
Even more dots...... Douglas Kmiec is yet another Romney supporter from the Romney Keep,
in to attack on the GOP, for backstabber Carpetbagger RINO Mitt Romney.
"Romney supporter turned Obama man Douglas Kmiec indulged in quite a litany of name-calling,
finger pointing and demagoguery against the GOP that would have been amazing from the same man only one year ago.
Kmiec has shown that he no longer cares much how he is viewed, going full Democrat Partisan at this point."
Surprise. Surprise. Connect the dots......
Cal Thomas is yet another Romney supporter,
in to attack Gov. Palin this month, for backstabber Carpetbagger RINO Mitt Romney.
"Cals Surprising Suggestion: I Wish The Palins Would Leave The Stage For Awhile"
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"
"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"
Similar to Romney's other scortched earth tactics:
Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"
versus "We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldnt make any sense at all.""
-- President Ronald Reagan
I'm very clear I think, to the people across the Commonwealth
my "R" didn't stand so much for Republican as it does for reform."
(Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)
versus
"A political party cannot be all things to all people.
It must represent certain fundamental beliefs
which must not be compromised to political expediency
or simply to swell its numbers."
-- President Ronald Reagan
For those of us doubting the conservative credentials of the former Governor of Massoftwoshits, Mr. Romney - would someone post his CONSERVATIVE positions and acts BEFORE his last run for President.
Please hurry, I’m an old and tired man and can’t stay up too late....
"Governor Mitt Romney, who touts his conservative credentials to out-of-state Republicans,
has passed over GOP lawyers for three-quarters of the 36 judicial vacancies he has faced,
instead tapping registered Democrats or independents -- including two gay lawyers who
have supported expanded same-sex rights, a Globe review of the nominations has found.
Of the 36 people Romney named to be judges or clerk magistrates, 23 are either registered Democrats
or unenrolled voters who have made multiple contributions to Democratic politicians
or who voted in Democratic primaries, state and local records show.
In all, he has nominated nine registered Republicans, 13 unenrolled voters,
and 14 registered Democrats."

and this
Romney Rewards one of the State's Leading Anti-Marriage Attorneys by Making him a Judge
Romney told the U.S. Senate on June 22, 2004, that the "real threat to the States is not the
constitutional amendment process, in which the states participate,
but activist judges who disregard the law and redefine marriage . . ."
Romney sounds tough but yet he had no qualms advancing the legal career of one
of the leading anti-marriage attorneys. He nominated Stephen Abany to a District Court.
Abany has been a key player in the Massachusetts Lesbian and Gay Bar Association which,
in its own words, is "dedicated to ensuring that the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court decision
on marriage equality is upheld, and that any anti-gay amendment or legislation is defeated."
- U.S. Senate testimony by Gov. Mitt Romney, 6/22/2004 P>
and then this.....
"Romney announces he won't fill judicial vacancies before term ends
Despite his rhetoric about judicial activism, Romney announced that
he won't fill all the remaining vacancies during his term - but instead
leave them for his liberal Democrat successor!
Governor Mitt Romney pledged yesterday not to make a flurry of lame-duck
judicial appointments in the final days of his administration . . . David Yas,
editor of Lawyers Weekly, said Romney is "bucking tradition" by resisting the urge to
fill all remaining judgeships. "It is a tradition for governors to use that power to appoint judges
aggressively in the waning moments of their administration," Yas said.
He added that Romney has been criticized for failing to make judicial appointments.
"The legal community has consistently criticized him for not filling open seats quickly enough
and being a little too painstaking in the process and being dismissive of the input of the
Judicial Nominating Commission," Yas said.

And how about this?
The Massachusetts Republican Party died last Tuesday.
The cause of death: failed leadership.
The party is survived by a few leftover legislators
and a handful of county officials and grassroots activists
who have been ignored for years.
Services will be public and a mass exodus of taxpayers will follow.
In lieu of flowers, send messages to Republican voters
warning them about a certain presidential candidate named Romney.
- Boston Herald, 11/12/2006
"In 2006, while Romney was chairman of the National Republican
Governors Association - a group dedicated to electing more
Republican governors - his own hand-picked Republican successor
as governor lost badly to the Democrat, despite the fact that Republicans
have held the governorship in Massachusetts since 1990. Romney largely
ignored the Massachusetts elections and spent most of the time
during the campaign out of state building his presidential campaign.
He came back and publicly campaigned for the Republican candidate
the day before the general election!
Locally, this is a rebuke to Mitt Romney and checking out within six months
after being elected and having accomplished almost nothing,
[Jim] Rappaport [former chairman of the state Republican Party]."
- Boston Globe, 11/8/2006
At this point, REFORM is a preferable “R” word to Republican. Reagan would agree. Republicans have lost their way. It is not the party of Ronald Reagan. A conservative reformer is exactly what we need.
Probe: Mitt missed chance to keep Tavares jailed - Could have nixed killers early exit
Friday, December 28, 2007 - Boston Herald
"Former Gov. Mitt Romneys administration failed to act on disciplinary recommendations
that would have kept ex-con killer Daniel Tavares locked up another year -
and behind bars at the time he was accused of killing a newlywed couple in Washington state."
"Despite Tavares long history of violence, the Romney-led Department of Correction
took no action on recommendations that he be stripped of good time because
of assaults on prison guards in 2003 and 2005, said sources familiar with a state probe into the case."
RINO Romney let it slide, and the Maucks had to die.
Romney caught lying again? How Romney is that?
"Behind the empty gestures and deceptive rhetoric, Romney was not pro-life
or a defender of marriage by any stretch of the imagination.
He was a disaster," said O'Gorman, of the board for Massachusetts Citizens for Life.
He said Romney "deceptively" claims to have been awarded
a pro-life award from the group.
"The award Romney arranged for himself with the local Pioneer Valley Chapter
was the Mullins Award for Political Leadership, not a pro-life award
and not approved by MCFL's state board of directors," he said.
"We're blowing the whistle to warn voters
"

Buying a fake endorsement. How Romney is that?
STOP SPAMMING.
Thank you for the effort — but I already doubted his credentials.
I was hoping someone would present information justifying his consideration in the future — and sadly, none received yet..
Is that because there ISN’T ANY?
He has always struck me as a too rich, too pretty, country club Rockefeller small r republican.
STOP SPAMMING????
Is material in conflict with your position considered spam?
Can you provide material supporting the consideration of Romney as a Conservative LEADER?
If so, please hurry - it’s approaching my bed time...
I gather that is a promise from you, to FReepers, that
you will henceforth, from this time on, never again post
your spam propaganda, your spam rants,
or your spam videos, on Romney, your tin-god superman.
[from "Mitt Romney as Tarantino's Superman", New Republic]:
"Whereas most superheroes' secret identities (Bruce Wayne, Peter Parker) are their true identities
--the people they were before their parents were murdered or they were bitten by radioactive spiders
or exposed to gamma rays or what have you--Superman was born Superman.
It's Clark Kent that is the invented alias, the pose, the "costume."
And in the way Superman plays Kent--weak, self-doubting, cowardly--
we can see what he thinks of the human race overall.
It occurred to me that the same is true of Mitt Romney's desperate,
if never terribly persuasive, impersonation of a conservative Republican."
There is a difference between DISCUSSING and SPAMMING.
THIS IS SPAM.
Any questions?
Carpetbagger Romney: "Any criticism of me, or even posting of my actual record, will not be tolerated.
Don't even bother to try. You will not be answered; only attacked.
Anyone even daring to criticize my past actions will
be labeled a 'hater', 'liar', 'spammer' and, of course, "antiMormon."
