Because of the 10th Amendment, all federal laws that mention abortion should be repealed. Each state legislature should pass a bill which would state that each abortion is a homicide, unless it is performed to save the mother’s life.
I disagree. Anyone who thinks each state will end abortion unilaterally is not being realistic. States like Massachusetts will never end abortion on their own, if the federal government just washes their hands of the issue and leaves it entirely up to the states. We tried "sending it back to the states" when this country was divided on slavery and didn't work. There should be a federal amendment abolishing a "right" to an abortion throughout the nation, as was used to end slavery. The right to life is guaranteed to ALL Americans in the constitution, it's not a "state issue" anymore than states have the "right" to decide on their own whether they will allow trial by jury or a right to bear arms. Those rights were guaranteed to all Americans regardless of what state they live in.
