Mitt Romney on "Hannity" discussing the Obama stimulus package, and America's economic future. Aired 2/26/09 on Fox News.

Hannity and Romney explain, in a nut shell, why Obamanomics is lethal to America!

Indeed, a frightening reality!

The Obama budget will destroy the dollar; destroy capitalism, and destroy America.

Support a Republican Revolution in the 2010 Congressional elections! It's the only way to protect our future!

It isn’t so much that they did nothing, they did not make the tax cuts permanent with intent, they wanted to use them as political fodder in future elections. They wanted to “solidify” their power by bribing their constituencies with large pork...they with intent threw out their conservative talk because they believed it would keep them in power longer. They stupidly miscalculated that unlike the democrat constituents, conservatives love liberty, not hand outs. Now these democrats who have come into power are misjudging America in their arrogance also, and they will suffer for it as well. Problem is, will either party learn or will they continue to treat us like we are peasants to their royal class?

Exactly how does that work out logically?

I see Mitt supporters here blame “people like you” (around here they are called Conservatives) but I have yet to see an explanation of how Mitt could have won the nod otherwise, aside from all of us “people like you” discarding our principles and drinking the Mittaide...

"Is he not the one who started socialized medicine in Mass.?”

Let’s end this RIGHT NOW, k?
He DID NOT start it,

Romney imposed Socialized Medicine (without a citizen's vote)
just like he did gay marriage (without a citizen's vote).

Docile RINO- and GOP-Backstabber Mitt Romney gleefully installs his socialist fascist HillaryCARE=RomneyCARE
FORCED upon Mass. taxpayers without a single citizen's vote (the Romney way).

"Mitt is an economist"

Romney either read a book on the subject,
or the p&ss-poor economist ought try to get his money back from whatever "school" taught him.

When tested, ie. when Romney was Governor (a period in time when he should be EXAMINED)
Myth Romney also got a "C" rating from CATO. Not good. So the RomneyBOTs try to "spin history".
Note that liberal RINO Romney also betrayed President Bush (as TeamROMNEY would do in Election2008 to the GOP)
because Romney was also against the conservative tax cuts (note this also prove the RomneyBOTs wrong.)

Here are the facts from CATO.

"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

They could also have actually closed/sealed the Mexican border while they were in the majority. But nooooooo!

I agree that the woulda, coulda, shoulda semi-Conservatives have HAD their chance and they blew it.

We need someone fresh, someone brand new to lead this cause. Someone that we can respect. I don’t respect any of the Reps that gave in and gave up too easily. The future of this country is too important to have given up with such apathy.

Well now you got Obama. That is where your FredHead got you. Atleast Romney ran something unlike all the legislative branch candidates. Sure I would have seen a man with Fred's conservative principles running our country. Yet Romney had the background to deal with what we are presently dealing with--unlike any other candidate. If logic is whining to you, I believe there is another group you would fit in well with--The Democrats and the commies. They use the same tactics you do when they can't get their point across as they don't have one and that is personal attacks. Maybe MSNBC has an opening. They are short on facts and sound arguments and long on insults.

The fact is there were many FredHeads that spent more time trashing Romney then soundly arguing or backing up that Fred had exactly what it took to be president. As I mentioned I loved Fred as well and would have liked to have seen such a principled conservative in the presidency. We are not in disagreement there. McCain was a total joke.

I see you have taken it upon yourself to judge the character and values of your fellow conservatives based on a disagreement on liking one candidate. What arrogance to appoint yourself the sorter of who is conservative and who is not based on one stand on one candidate in which there was considerable support for in the Republican primaries.

If I am a pseudo conservative as you decided because I supported Romney then I would hate to see how very small your group of self appointed conservatives is. Good luck with winning any sort of election with you self appointed group of what I have decided is about a hand full of people. As I am sure somewhere along the line many FredHeads also might disagree with you on some issue in which you--being all knowledgable about who is and is not conservative--will label them pseudo conservatives. I am sure after calling people sell-outs as well that your oh dear the highest of most high conservative god have NEVER EVER comprised one cell of your body, mind, and soul. Why then dear man have you not ascended? Oh highest of all?

Why is it that so many Mitt supporters on Free Republic have the letters "GOP" in their screen names?

Could it be a concerted effort to create the impression of Romney = GOP?

Opting for the likes of Romney just because he’s a registered Republican IS “cutting off your head to save your ass.”

Interesting question! I've one too-- Why is it that so many Romney-loathers at FR are tinfoil hat paranoids?

Two more posts by you --- two more whines by you. LOL

>>>>>Well now you got Obama. That is where your FredHead got you.

We've ALL got Obama NOW! That is not my fault, nor is it the fault of conservatives who supported Fred Thompson or Duncan Hunter. Free Republic was a public bullhorn warning everyone what would happen if Republicans didn't unite and support the strongest conservative candidate.

I have my doubts anyone could have beaten Obama under the circumstances. Bush and the GOP Congressional leaders totally abandoned the conservative agenda and started pushing moderate policies. Also, the GOP was ripped apart by liberals and moderates alike --- Giuiliani, McCain, Romney, Huckabee --- RudyMcRombee. That is what really destroyed the GOP's chances in both 2006 and 2008

Fred's candidacy ran out of money and ran out of steam, but at least he advanced the conservative agenda and promoted federalism while he was in the race, and in the process knocked Rooty Toot out of the race.

Romney is a pathetic joke. His last minute political conversion on the eve of running for POTUS, wasn't genuine at all and left most conservatives even more opposed to him. Willard's $55-million got him a 3RD place finish in the primaries. BFD! Romney is all about political expediency, not principled conservatism.

Lets not forget it was Reagan who rejected the moderates and liberals, first by leaving the Democratic Party in 1962 and later, by defining what conservatism is all about. Reagan said no to moderatism and liberalism. Reagan said if you wanted to join the GOP and support conservatism, you'd be welcome. He didn't tell the Rockefeller Republicans join us and we'll support your left of center agenda. Get real.

Reagan's words were true in 1965, in the 1980`s and they still ring true today.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all."
