Here is video of Republican Sen. Robert Bennett reacting to news of President Barack Obama's proposed $3.55 Trillion Federal Budget for 2010, which will result in a deficit of $1.75 Trillion, the largest since World War II. Bennett says this is much higher than had been expected, and feels Obama is wanting spend in this budget as if huge spending measures had not already been passed into law. Bennett predicted there will be a huge fight over this budget in the Congress. . . . . . . (Watch Video)

The Democrats have criticized Bush for big deficits, and contrasted with how Bill Clinton had a balanced budget in his last year, I think it was, as president.
Why did deficits matter so much when Bush was president, but don’t matter now under Obama? Why does it not matter that the deficit under Obama will be much larger than under Bush? Are Republican deficits the only ones that matter?
Remove Snowe, Collins and Spector and it will not pass!
I should hope so! I don’t understand why Republicans aren’t blasting this out of the water. I realize they don’t have the votes but they should at least be going Glenn Beck crazy.
What, aren’t Snowe and Collins and Specter fighting over the kneepads already??
Only Congress creates Deficits All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills. The President does not create Deficits.
Section 7 - Revenue Bills, Legislative Process, Presidential Veto
I'm sure you know as well as I do. It's not about the spending as much as what it is spent on with the left. And they have so many whacko groups there to try to appease by throwing $$$ their way...
