I think the Democrats will not directly attack the Second Amendment but will try to make it too expensive to own a gun of any type.

They want to make ammo too expensive for everyone. Russia sells a lot of ammo to the U.S. including Wolf and others. Hopefully Vlad will send us a copy of O’s Kenyan BC because i am sure they have a copy.

“State Dept.” Hillary...think, folks. While the shouting says “Obama,” “Obama,” “Obama,” look behind that at the swing vote for Hillary during the ‘90s and the Republican support for her during the Democrat campaigns. Hundreds of billions of your tax dollars are going into bonuses and manufacturing plants overseas. And now they’re afraid that you’ll wake up and go after them all.

There’s nothing conservative about anti-American thieves. Stop buying. People on all sides of politics have taken away some of your Second Amendment rights (VAWA, laws against young adults having firearms,...) and are about to do much more of the same.

I think that you will find this interesting and timely. I asked this question out of curiosity on the Reloaders Nest website. http://www.reloadersnest.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9536

Hi 30-06Lapua,

I don’t know how old you are, but I had friends in England before the gun bans, PC speech, and Islam. What in the world happened and why didn’t the citizens protest a little more stridently when this started?
No offense intended, I am just concerned that we will have to make a life or death decision about maintaining our freedoms over here very shortly, and I am curious about how the lefties managed the big sneak attack without a few of them getting shot.

Hi Will

I’m 51 and I have had owned shotguns since 1973 and rifled weapons since 1975.
I have seen my weapons come and go, fought total bans on firearms but I still have my guns. I’m not totally happy I want an M4 but I am not allowed it, but I can have .50 BMG and assault shotguns.
The UK is a strange place, English men are not supposed to complain and make a fuss.
The roots of what went wrong go back to WW1. Before the first war it was pretty relaxed here, guns were easily available and people just got on with their OWN lives, not other people’s.
We lost so many killed, wounded or maimed that a general weariness set in. During the war under the guise of National Security the government passed many new laws that were temporary for the war (like income tax), but once they had started on taking our freedoms away they were never going to stop. Between 1900 - 1939 target shooting was a very popular and there was little firearm regulation other than a ban on machine guns.
But in the background there has always been this thing about guns not being a good idea.
In his book “With Britsh Snipers to the Reich” the author mentions constantly the strange British attitude to guns. The guy who wrote this book was the original gun nut, sniping to him was the ultimate “game” and he had the opportunity to try just about every gun in the European theatre of war. Time and again, he wishes that he could find more Englishmen with his love of guns, no problem there were plenty of Americans who shared his passion.
The next problem is elections and the fact that people are easily led. During the dying days of WW2 we had an election and thanked Winston Churchill for all his hard work by voting in a Labour Government. For those not familiar with our political system Labour = Democrat = BAD, Conservative = Republican = GOOD. In the early days Labour was effectively quasi Communism, they harped on about the Soviet system, how wonderful Stalin was and how the USSR just needed to feel secure. This was the justificaton for the USSR invading Hungary, the Czech Republic.
With their vision of a brave new world it was time to encourage every minority to rise up and become more equal than the majority. The country changed its mind at every election and the result of successive Labour governments ended with the UK being nearly bankrupt and the IMF bailing us out. Finally in 1979 the people got it right voted in Margaret Thatcher and we then had 18 years of Conservative Government. Regan was in the White House, how I long for those days!
When we had real government the Socialists retreated in to local government and introduced nuclear freezones, lesbian coperatives, exchange visits to the USSR and all the normal Liberal stupidity. Like a cancer they ate away at the values that made our society, always concerned for the minority they ban Christmas (its the winter holiday now) incase it offends non Christians. Just about anything can offend anyone now, people are so sensitive and terrified about any form of confrontation. In my terms they are weak and spineless and dont have the moral courage to stand up for what they know is right.
In the early ninetines Labour got itself together, sold itself to the stupid electorate by sticking New in front of Labour and choosing the anti christ Tony Blair as it’s leader. How stupid were our voters the only difference between New Sh*t and Old Sh*t is that New Sh*t stinks a bit more before it gets hard; but at the end of the day it’s still Sh*t.
With Blair in charge the rest reappeared from Local Government, now in real power they set about equality for everyone at the cost to the majority.
And still people did nothing. A fundemental part of Socialism is taxation and New Labour are more skilled than old Labour at this one.
Finally the rising price of fuel caused the people to take to the streets, in the last few years the Government has learnt about public protest, it has changed policy because of this. 9/11 and our 7/7 finally woke up the public to the fact that all was not well.
Before this anyone who said about PC, Islam was a racist. Public opinion has shifted now, too many Moslems and mosques involved in terrorism.

The lesson the US should learn from us if you do nothing then you will loose your freedoms.

We lost our semiauto’s because one guy went nuts with an AK47 and killed six people one day, our own NRA stabbed us in the back by saying there was no need for assault rifles, so the Government banned assault rifles for civilian use.
10 years later we had another one in a school shooting. Dont get me wrong here, as a parent myself I cant even begin to understand how those parents felt, but to take the handguns of 60,000 legal shooters was a violation of each of our rights. And being New Labour we got barely any compensation for what we were told we could legally buy.

One thing about Socliasts they all have this vision of one giant Utopia. Blair was busily giving all our law making, Parliament to the bad news that is the European Union; probably in the hope of becoming President of the European Super State. Human Rights was big news, everyone had human rights. Thats right Tony, everyone including GUN OWNERS!
Too late they have realised that Human Rights is double edged sword. Turn me down for a gun? You have violated my Human Rights! The police dont even contest any more, unless you have done time for violent crime.
We are dug in like a tick now, we are organised and have money, the media have learnt to use the term “illegal gun” when talking about firearms related crime. Shooting is on the increase here, clay pigeon shooting especially.
I think I need to use Human Rights law to get me an M4 “I am not secure or safe as human being becuase without an M4 beause I dont have sufficent fire superiority out to 300 yards to be safe from oppression”
We woke up just in time, the desire for a common EU law on firearms should get our semi’s back one day, but we have been lucky.(?????)

On this and other forums I have seen the same concerns expressed about freedoms and what your President is doing.
I have a number of friends in the US (some for more than 30 years) and I try to spend as much time in the US as possible (Before this recession started I was going to open our US office and provide 50 jobs, given the change I want to become a US citizen), during this time I have never come across the mood or views that are being expressed everywhere.

Obama seems to be on the verge of causing a civil war, far from being a uniting force you either love him or hate him, there is no middle ground.
If he uses the same stupid financial polices that Gordon Brown is doing you are going to be truly f***** for at least a generation, just like we are going to be.
Overhere we learnt to unite with other sports that could be threatened by Animal Rights (dont get me started) money, political influence and Human Rights are our weapons, and we dont have a written Bill of Rights.
As for shooting the lefties, why waste good ammo, we have still millions of plastic mines in the Falkland from when rolled over the Argentinians, give them a bayonet and they can start digging

Should they do this, all domestic producers should refuse to sell to law enforecement or other government agencies.

Just one way to control the access to ammunition.Stop the imports and then prevent the sale of Domestic Firearms ammunition.

Without Ammo a firearm is nothing more then a hammer or a club.

I’m sure it will work as well as the import ban on cocaine.
