Fox News is a Behemoth

There's no way else to spin in but to say that Fox is dominating. we hear that Rachel Maddow is making a move or the Olberwoman is rampaging but these numbers are so overwhelmingly in favor of Fox News that anything they say will sound ridiculous.

They beat CNN and MSNBC even when you combine their viewers.

Fox beats both CNN and MSNBC combined. I can't wait to see the little girl Olby try to spin this.

FOX needs to give Molly Henneberg her own slot or an anchor position.

good. but sadly, it won't change any election outcomes.

most of the people who vote never turn on the news.

If the country is roughly split half and half right and left tilting, it’s obvious that FOX gets one half, while the half-dozen lib networks split up the other.

Whether Fox is a behemoth or not, has to be decided on what exactly a behemoth is. From Wikipedia :

Behemoth (Hebrew בהמות, behemot; Arabic بهيموث bahīmūth, or بهموت bahamūt), pronounced /bɨˈhiməθ/, is a biblical creature mentioned in the Book of Job, 40:15-24. The word is most likely a plural form of בהמה (bəhēmāh), meaning beast or large animal. It may be an example of pluralis excellentiae, a Hebrew method of expressing greatness by pluralizing a noun; it thus indicates that Behemoth is the largest and most powerful animal ever to exist. Metaphorically, the name has come to be used for any extremely large or powerful entity.

The text from the Book of Job 40 (Judaica Press Bible) is as follows:

15 Behold now the behemoth that I have made with you; he eats grass like cattle.
16 Behold now his strength is in his loins and his power is in the navel of his belly.
17 His tail hardens like a cedar; the sinews of his tendons are knit together.
18 His limbs are as strong as copper, his bones as a load of iron.
19 His is the first of God's ways; [only] his Maker can draw His sword [against him].
20 For the mountains bear food for him, and all the beasts of the field play there.
21 Does he lie under the shadows, in the covert of the reeds and the swamp?
22 Do the shadows cover him as his shadow? Do the willows of the brook surround him?
23 Behold, he plunders the river, and [he] does not harden; he trusts that he will draw the Jordan into his mouth.
24 With His eyes He will take him; with snares He will puncture his nostrils.

Behemoth and Leviathan, watercolour by William Blake from his Illustrations of the Book of Job.

Beck’s been a huge winner. He’s pulling numbers almost equal to Hannity and he’s on at 5, nowhere near prime time.

I thought Rachel’s ratings were good (for MSNBC). Why would she make a move?

http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/ratings/february_ratings_fnc_beats_cnn_and_msnbc_combined_in_total_viewers_109560.asp?c=rss

FNC had nine out of the top 10 programs in cable news last month in Total Viewers. The O'Reilly Factor was #1 for the 99th consecutive month, and was up 33% in Total Viewers compared to February 2008. The other top programs included Hannity (up 38%), Glenn Beck (the 5pmET hour was up 100%), The FOX Report with Shepard Smith (up 30%) and On the Record with Greta Van Susteren (up 24%).

I still wish they'd bring back John Gibson. I no longer watch FNC in the late afternoon. I wish Shep would get in a fight with a poodle - he'd lose, be gone, and we'd all be better for it.
They could put Patti Ann Brown on and I'd watch. She wouldn't even have to say anything, just sit there and smile, I'd still watch.

to most people who watch those shows, they are gospel!

the presidency has now become a popularity contest in the worst way.

I can hardly watch Fox and Friends anymore though. Its gotten too silly.

I really have trouble tolerating Steve Doocy doing any kind of news. Hes just too much.

LOL!

I'll second that!

That might even get me back as a Fox viewer! I use to leave Fox on for background noise, but Shep finally changed that...

They really should’ve put Beck on at 7 and move Shep into 5 before saying bye bye to him.

Also, if Fox can just get Lou Dobbs, I’d have no reason to watch CNN.
