Where is a good unbiased host to set up a blog? I keep hearing about google censoring or removing them.
You can always buy your own domain, and then host with just about anybody. There is plenty of good blogging software out there to make it easy for you - I think Wordpress is pretty popular?
why not blogspot ? it’s free...
I’ve tried blogspot and wordpress. From a purely hobby blogging standpoint, the platform at wordpress.com is pretty good. Blogspot lets you use java, which means you can customize it with widgets and such, but blogger support is almost non-existent.
I suggest wordpress.com. It’s free and very user friendly.
Wordpress has more flexibility than blogspot.
I use blogspot, which has worked until this week when I lost all my google juice. If you use blogspot, I will tell you that you should use the custom domain option from the start. It’s only $10 a year to maintain your custom domain name and believe it or not, some people will not give your blog the credit it deserves with at a blogspot address...The hosting is still free, and you can still use the blogspot software, it just doesn’t appear as a blogspot address. If you wait, and then switch to a custom domain, you’re going to have all kinds of problems. As I am having now.
Here is my blog, hosted by blogspot, but with a custom domain address

I am thinking of opening a blog, too. I was emailed this conservative blog and found it informative.
