Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center in which he claimed that Christian conservatives Pat Robertson and Gary Bauer had “provided the moral atmosphere” for the murder of homosexual Matthew Shepard in Wyoming—a claim preposterous on its face.
But the fact is that professional hate hunters like Mr. Potok have influence on both federal and state and local law enforcement agencies. Their “experts” often testify in trials and provide seminars for law enforcement and intelligence agencies on what constitutes the “real threats” to national security. In 1999, they helped produce a report for the FBI itself warning of massive right-wing violence on the eve of the change of the millennium. There was of course no such violence.
While the phony hate hunters were pushing the feds into hunting for non-existent terrorists on the domestic right, the real terrorists carried out the Sept. 11 massacres.
I’ve done a fair amount of direct mail work in my life, and this bunch takes the cake for manipulative, hotbutton fundraisers. It’s apparently a highly profitable thing for them, to scare the living $#!t out of elderly Jewish women.

Granted Ann Coulter can be a little over the top at times, however what I see posted on the SPLC site are a collection of excerpted quotes out of context grouped selectively to push their point. About the same that I would expect from the DUmp.
Now the SPLC has outed a lot of bona fide white supremicists. Good. However to lump everyone who disagrees with the SPLC even moderately with skinheads on crank? - that’s stretching it.

This statement is typical of the hyperbolic inaccuracy of the SPLC. Ann Coulter did not directly call Edwards a fag. She made reference to an actor going to rehab over making a comment and declined to use that term or any other.
Besides, what do faggots have to do with racism? I thought that was an equal-opportunity perversion.

If memory serves, Sam Francis was himself declared a racist and rendered persona non grata. Deceased now, I was always impressed with his courage in speaking truth to power.
We are racists. We hate the race of complete morons in positions of power making decisions for all of us. Most are Democrats.
