Interestingly enough, that did need to be repeated for emphasis.

Wasn't the original Boston Tea Party over a 2% tax?

We had better wake up before it is too late to do ANYTHING. This hedlong rush towards Communism has got to be stopped. Elected officials don’t listen; judges don’t care and we are stuck with the bills.

I REFUSE. Action is needed. The time for talk is over.

Deo vindice

I'm not a leader, but as soon as someone hoists the proper banner, and leads the charge, I'll be following it.

So we’re all agreed. Now what?

I’m not a leader either. We need leader and quick. I understand many people are starting to think it is time.

For most FReepers it involves hunkering down behind their keyboards!

LOL!

Well, I'm incredibly frustrated with the whole thing, as I suspect everyone else is. I've called, and faxed, and emailed. Only 37% of the public support it, if I have that number right, and still the stimulus is going on. I fear there's no relief federally.

So, I've added my state officials and my local radio station to my list of targets. Since yesterday's effort to solicit help from my state senator and representative in lobbying my US Senators and Representative fell disappointingly short, today I sent letters to all my Republican state senators, asking them to assert their 10th amendment rights, and giving them a copy of the NH resolution. I pray the states (at least some sane ones, probably not mine) will wise up and refuse to play. Forlorn hope, I know.

My son says I've got to get a gun, and quick.

So we’re all agreed. Now what?

I've been advocating a nationwide tax revolt on FR for months now.

We need to put up a website where people can click on a box to indicate that they agree to join the tax revolt. This has to be anonymous - something like checking a box on an online poll.

The site has to have a counter displayed prominently, so that everyone can see the number of people joining the effort rising.

When the counter reaches 10 Million, we announce the start of the tax revolt. At that point, ten million Americans will cease all extortion payments to the Treasury.

It has to be a number as high as ten million to ensure that those who participate will not be persecuted by the gov't for doing so. They may be big, but they're not that big.

If done right, this effort will bring more than just ten million like-minded Americans to join.

Short of armed rebellion, I don't know a better way for the American people to re-assert their authority over their own government, and to stop the current insanity.
