UK:Domino's Bans Pork

Once again we see how the free market is being used to slowly change the West to suit Islam. As a Domino's pizzeria in the UK has banned all pork products with no concern for its non-Muslim customers. I am not against the free market, what I am against is Muslim immigration.

Once again they did not have to do this for Jews. Jews are not looking to impose on the UK. Muslims are.

Yes, you have that right if the name of your place was Joe's Pizza or some such, but Dominoes is a chain. Granted, there are exceptions to the rule where franchise owners can add a menu item to accommodate their clientele, but I guarantee that 99.99% of all Dominoes customers from around the world would expect to see a pepperoni pizza on the menu.

Caters to!!! The owner of the Dominos is trying to make living and he made a move that he thinks will allow him to do that. What makes you think you or anybody else can tell him he can’t do that?

Indylindy has already proven he or she has no concept of cross contamination in food. I run into this mentality frequently when I try eat out without getting wheat in my food.

You’ve obviously never heard of cross contamination or seen what the ingredient area of a pizzeria looks like. I have a food allergy and I have to avoid certain types of restaurants (including ALL pizza joints) because cross contamination is so pervasive. I’d imagine that no strict Muslim (and possibly no strict Jew) would go to a Dominos that has pork.

A Jew who doesn't eat pork won't eat other meat on pizza due to the cheese. An observant Jew wouldn't eat prepared food in a non-Kosher restaurant, cross contamination a reasonable simple explanation.

Well, what about the customers who don’t have a problem with that in that same area?

The muslims that have a problem with it can take a chance or open their own restaurants that are not a chain with a name like Domino’s.

For instance , open up Halal’s Pizzaria. Everyone knows what they are going to get.

This story is about a business owner making a business decision that increased his profits, a decision he had every right to make. You're trying to turn it into an “islamofascists are taking over the world” story, and I'm calling bs on that.

They're sales are up because they sell “halal” products in an area with a large Muslim population. I fail to see what the big deal is here. This is just business.

So you ARE in favor of telling a business owner he can’t do something to try to attract the business of a certain group? Especially when it’s a group you don’t like. Maybe you should check out DU.

If you read the article you'd know there was another Domino's two miles away that serves normal toppings. Most of these franchise stores are locally owned. I suppose Domino's could end their contract with the owner of this store. Maybe you should start a letter writing campaign against Domino's, get a grass roots movement going with a worldwide boycott because one store in England doesn't serve sausage or ham anymore.
