Stephanopoulos condemns Obama’s “bi-partisan nirvana”

Ignoring the fact that Republicans were shut out of writing the “stimulus” bill, George Stephanopoulos said Sunday that President Obama has been too bi-partisan.

“Some White House officials I talk to concede that he put too much emphasis on ‘non-partisan nirvana’ rather than on getting the job done,” Stephanopoulos said.

Then Stephanopoulos momentarily lost concentration and gave a more realistic assessment. “Because the White House set the goal of bi-partisanship, maybe even 80 Senate votes, this does have the feel of a failure, even though it’s a great success.”

Please allow us to make a pithy observation.

“The difference between the Obama administration and the Reagan administration? One has the fear of failure. The other had a failure of fear.

Well, at least the “Stephanophugus” is STILL stupid.

It’s nice to see that some things never change.

It’s almost like Stephanopolous has been talking to Rahm Emmanuel on the phone, getting an update on the WH talking points ...

Reagan a failure of fear? We've certainly come a long way from, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself."

I thin what Step-on-all-of-us means to say is, “We won”.

This dwarfish shill for all things liberal is so partisan he even refuses to wear a right shoe, electing instead to trod around in two left ones.

I think the writer was implying that IF there was a failure, it was because of a LACK of fear on the part of Reagan. In other words: he was a man of action.

I think.

“A failure of fear” is a sloppy way of saying their fears failed. That is, they had confidence.

Hey George,

How could they do it in a ‘more partisan’ way? Republicans were shut out of committees, not allowed any input on the bill, all republican amendments were shot down on partisan votes...

The only way Pelosi, Reid, and The Messiah (”I won”) could have been more partisan about it would have been to kick republicans in the shins.

It actually backfired. Spineless RINOS don’t care too much about spending...but when they get left out of the biggest pork bill in history, they get a little testy.

George Emmanuel knows this should have been a slam-dunk - literally a slamming of the republic and a dunking of conservatives. I still can’t figure out why Obama keeps up this pretense when he can just cram it down out throats....which they will eventually do.
