As this can be an expensive project, it may only be possible to have a bust made, location to be the library, should a full stature be able to be financed, we hope to have a formal statue placed in the Plaza downtown in Eureka.
George W Bush has served as a symbol of the hope of freedom for millions around the world. His successful operation of liberation and freedom is a legacy that will never be forgotten. His ability to maintain our civil liberties, and through keen financial oversight, has both warmed our hearts and protected out pocketbooks during these troubled times.
Ping!
On April Fool’s Day? Is this supposed to be a smart joke?
A place of tolerance?!
Heaven help anyone who hides the commune bong!
I was up in Humboldt Univ last May for softball and I can tell you this must be a joke...The bumper stickers there are so totally against Bush that there is no way they’ll put up anything unless its a target range and he’s the target...
But Birkenstocks, hackeysacks, and rolling papers sure are affordably priced. ;)
You have got that right, not a Bush friendly area. As far as Bush fans go up here, I’m probably the last man standing so I’ll be interested to see who shows up.
If this was a joke you would think there would be some subtle jabs at Bush in the announcement but, we shall see.

The creation of a statue will be an enduring symbol of history in the community, Something that parents and teachers can use as a teaching aid and serve as a daily reminder to the community of the man .the times and our appreciation of his public sacrifice.
A statue of Bush anywhere in this country is guaranteed to be defaced, etc. There are just too many people in this country with BDS.
It’s a wonderful likeness of him. Just hope the left coast
crazies don’t deface it. That would be awful!
That is a good likeness of him. Wonderful job!
I know ...
‘On April Fools Day? Is this supposed to be a smart joke?’
Would love this to be true but, I, too, noted the
April 1st date and wondered .....
Ah, well, maybe we can eventually have a nonspoof one at his library.
I plan on trying to modestly support his library, if he can manage to get it up and running before President Obama gets us nuked.
Thank you, Starwise and Locke22; the Statue of our President would be Wonderful! I just read the Comments at that link, and one guy was regurgitating the same old Clap-Trap the Media has Implanted into Many People’s Brains. It’s just Tragic the way these guys are Incapable of Thinking on their own.
I am sure it is a joke. Very mean.
I believe it’s real ... FR now has an alliance with Old Glory Radio. Watch the video (scroll down).

God bless President Bush.
I’m SO with you, jv. A piece of my heart
and spirit is missing. And it only worsens
when I look the arrogant and cold intruders
who’ve taken over our WH and beloved country.
But I know God is in charge. Keep praying.
There will be a silver lining to this black
cloud in time.
