I think I know why Kevin Spacey showed up at Bukowski's a couple of years ago when the Pied Piper invited him to his apartment. I think Spacey was in Boston to film "21." It was released a year ago so the filming of the Boston scenes could have taken place then. I watched "21" last night. Good movie. About college kids counting cards in Las Vegas. Kevin Spacey played the Harvard prof who organized that team. A highly fictionalized story based on what happened.

Just the latest exercise of Obama Newsspeak. Every failure of Obama will be spun as a success. Every weakness of The One will be portrayed as a strength. Good is bad, war is peace, up is down, day is night, you know. Get with the program already. If not, it’s Room 101 for you...

And in a weird way, all this bedlam around the stimulus is a tonic.
Rationalization is the first step on the road to recovery. Unfortunately, Spitt has a longstanding tendency to wander off the path in search of his own mythical greatness.

Pelosi refused to impeach and now she sits on her throne shooting the beaver to the rest of us.
Thanks to that mental image, I lost my appetite for a month.

We're watching a President get manhandled. . . . benburch is getting a thrill up HIS leg.
To: PJ-Comix
We spent six years with a president who could ram whatever he wanted. . . . benburch is VERY interested.

we had a bag of doorknobs and a lot of deep sighs. A typical night at ben's place.

the sink in the men's room. Again, doorknobs and sighs. ben's night out.

He ignored subpoenas, spied on everyone, lied us into wars...know what? F*ck it, I'm not writing all that sh*t again. . . . Somehow I don't believe you, Pitt. BDS has no cure and knows no term limits.
To: PJ-Comix; kevkrom
I wish Obama would have . . . jammed the stimulus package down Congress's throat before anybody had a chance to get used to their new positioning. Sorry, we've reached the limit on benburch jokes for the day.

Pelosi refused to impeach and now she sits on her throne shooting the beaver. . . . Nancy, aren't you being a little hard on the Beaver?

Perhaps Pitt has forgotten that it is only in the alternate universe where.... Does Pitt have a goatee in both universes or just this one?

How do we get rid of them? Can the president fire them, or are they there no matter what? If there is a way, I would love to see them go! [Of course. Aren't you familiar with that constituional amendment giving the president the right to fire members of congress?] LMAO!

Riddle me this: I thought the first TARP/Bailout/ScrewYouAmericanTaxpayers bill during Bush’s last weeks in office was supposed to stimulate the banks into SAVING OUR ECONOMY!!!! [insert dire organ music here] so that would have been technically “Stimulus I”, correct?
Now, we’ve learned in HolyO’s first few weeks that it bombed and no one has a clue where all those BILLIONS (cue Carl Sagan voice) of taxpayers disappeared to...so we must once again be SAVING OUR ECONOMY!!![insert dire organ music here] with what should technically be called “Stimulus II”, correct??
And this Pitt person is ready for the next phase already?!?
“Stimulus III”??
Gak. 2 more years til the 2010 elections!! All these bozos MUSTMUSTMUST be voted out!!! Wouldn’t it be a hoot to see EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT in Congress voted out because of all this foolishness just in the first few weeks of HolyO’s reign?? Bwahahahahahahhahahaha. Payback will be when the Republicans veto EVERYTHING HolyO sends their way! He’ll see how it feels to be “President Bush II”, LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

We spent six years with a president who could ram whatever he wanted through congress.Like Social Security reform, appellate court judges' confirmations, energy reforms ... ?
About all Bush managed to "ram .. through" was Iraq/ GWOT, Roberts and Alito. (Thankfully. But so much else was stymied.)

None of these guys seem to realize that OBAMA's policy is being DISPUTED by his own MAJORITY. Bush didn't have to force things through Congress. His majority worked with him. Obama can't even get his own midgets in line with his socialism.
For some reason they don't see this as the PEOPLE scaring the hell out of Congress and blocking what was suppose to be the big Obama Mandate. So much for a honeymoon. Obama can't even GIVE AWAY MONEY successfully.
