Tax Cheats, Liars and Now a Thief in Obama's "Politics As Usual" Circle

It's bad enough that the White House has surrounded itself with liars and tax cheats, but now comes word that the Associated Press is accusing Obama of a copyright violation. It's based on a copyrighted photo of Obama that was taken by Manny Garcia. Garcia was on assignment for AP when she took the photo.

Then comes an artist named Shepard Fairey who recreated the likeness onto posters, campaign buttons and everything else Obama. No mention that the photograph was owned by the Associated Press, nor any credit for the photographer who shot the photo.

So now, to tax cheats and liars, we add a thief.

Check out Garcia's photo and compare it to Fairey's artwork. Fairey just about used Garcia's photo as a template. Fairey is claiming "fair use."

Uh, fair use is when I pull a quote from an article. But I have to give credit to where I found the quote. I can't just lift some quote and try to foist it off as my own work. That's theft, not fair use.

Here's the link to the article on Breitbart.com: http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9652OD01&show_article=1&catnum=8

Mr. White House has already being blasted for his hypocrisy when he says executive salaries of bailout recipient companies are to be capped at $500,000. After all, nobody ought to make more money than the president, I guess. Wha wha wha

And to date, some 50 banks have opted out of receiving any of the bailout money. Guess they weren't doing so bad after all. Now that you mention it. Since you put it that way. "No thanks," they said.

ABC News didn't like Obama's hypocrisy at all. While it's true that Obama makes a mere $400,000 a year, the salary is a lot more when you consider that he lives rent free in some pretty upscale digs, has a private jet at his disposal, chauffeurs, a world-class chef, and a quiet, peaceful better-than-out-in-the-country getaway all tax-free, of course.

Here's what ABC has to say about the Obama facade: http://abcnews.go.com/Business/CEOProfiles/Story?id=6806414&page=1

The Senate version of the $900+ billion "stimulus bill" includes a list of ridiculousness for your reading pleasure over at the National Review Online: http://nationalreview.com/

I can't just re-type the entire list because of Fair Use Doctrine, but a quick click will take you the National Review's list.

I don't understand why the federal government includes $6 billion for university building projects. I think universities ought to raise their own money and not burden the American taxpayers.

And why do we have to give $150 million to the Smithsonian. Don't they come around with their hands out every time we turn around? I mean, how much is enough for this museum?

And what in the world are they doing over at the Department of Agriculture headquarters that would cost $350 million?

Likewise for the Homeland Security Department. They want $448 million to build a new headquarters. But aren't they a new department that was started in Bush's administration? That would make Homeland less than ten years old. And they now need a new headquarters?

Ah, but listen to this one. There was a great outcry in the first presentation of this boondoggle pork package for $600 million for new government vehicles. This line item has been reframed to now say "convert federal auto fleet to hybrids." You just know how they're going to "convert," don't you? Somehow I don't think they're going to install conversion kits, but rather, they'll be test-driving new hybrids and voila! The federal fleet will be converted to the tune of $600 million. And these yokels in the Senate actually think the American taxpayers 1) aren't watching or 2) don't care.

My motto is: Remember Trent Lott. Remember Chuck Percy. They didn't listen either. And they aren't senators anymore either.

I wonder what the "rural community advancement program" involves that would warrant the $7.6 billion in this pork package.

And get this, there's $150 million for "producers of livestock, honeybees, and farm-raised fish." They'll probably try to get this back from the farmers by way of the fart tax on livestock that congress is thinking of imposing. (Through their EPA bureaucrats.)

Then there's a $400 million item for hybrids for state and local governments. If you add this to the $600 above, you have a total of $1 billion for new cars. Converted or otherwise. And the American taxpayers are asked to foot the bill on this!

Then there's $79 billion for the State Fiscal Stabilization Fund requested to go to all those states that can't balance their own state budgets. Well, giving the states federal money that increases the deficit to the taxpayers across this country is a ridiculous way to stabilize the state budgets, don't you think? I mean, not only am I going to have to pay for the deficit spending in Illinois, but now I'm being ordered to help out California and all the other states that can't get their act together because voters continue to elect people who can't manage and lead a government into fiscal soundness.

And somewhere, I'm reasonably certain, is money hidden in this pork package for ACORN. They want $4.1 billion for "community development projects." Do you think it could be in the request for $4.2 billion for "neighborhood stabilization activities" and added to the $1 billion for community development block grants? We aren't getting any transparency from this White House about what all these projects' funding requests are for and I have no doubt that the slicksters over on Capitol Hill will figure out a way to get money to ACORN so that this organization, which has been named in at least 11 lawsuits for voter fraud, can get revved up just in time for the mid-term election. Count on it.

There's a long list of some 50 pork barrel projects listed on the National Review site.

Time to burn up the telephone wires and e-mails.

If Obama says this pork barrel spending program isn't passed right away, the U.S. economy may never recover. That's nothing but turkey do do. Truth of the matter is, there are going to be a lot more companies and governments deciding they can hobble along and do fairly well because they won't want all the strings attached to the federal money that might come their way.

And then there's ACORN. They should not get one thin dime of taxpayer money.

Come to think of it, there is not a sane nor intelligent person anywhere near Zer0.

Guess he has a lot of political debt to pay back.

I wonder if he’s thought about how he’s going to get any campaign money out of the companies down the road when he caps their executive salaries.

Didn’t quite think that one through, did he?

There’ll be “oops money” going out to the Associated Press for this “regrettable” oversight.

A glossary of terms that this White House is inventing could be very interesting.
