Dear Conservative, We're at a crucial point in our battle to stop the Pelosi\Reid\Obama Stimulus boondoggle. Amendments to the legislation are now being debated and voted on hour-by-hour. In fact, yesterday a $246 million earmark for Hollywood (I'm not making this up) was found and stripped by alert senators like Tom Coburn from Oklahoma. The big vote on whether the thing will pass is still tenatively set for Friday but sources tell us that Majority Leader Reid knows the votes just are not there at the moment so they are considering postponing the vote until next week which would be a significant victory for us. So, we've decided to really turn up the heat. Tonight at 8:00pm EST, Americans for Prosperity is hosting a national telephone town hall meeting with Senator Jim DeMint from South Carolina. Yep, time to make a REAL stand!!! Not going to take any more of this... We need to call our Senators. I called Roger Wicker today and will call Thad Cochran tomorrow to let him - them know I am behind them. Our Senators need to know. Never mind if it seems the receptionist on the phones are blowing you off!! If there are a lot of calls, it puts pressure on them to DO THE RIGHT THING!!! I’m going to call my sister’s Senators in GA because she doesn’t have the time to do it herself!! Might be a good idea for some who are not working like myself. Call for your friends or relatives.
Jim Demint said he thinks we may loose a few Republicans on this bill. I think and this is my opinion, that the Republicans that vote FOR THIS bill need to hear from us. I’m planning to call the Republicans that vote for the bill and let them know that I’m very disappointed and would make sure to tell everyone that they voted for the bill!! They WILL NOT GO UNNOTICED!!!! And they will be lucky to get re-elected if Americans know they caved to pressure from liberals.
DeMint has made only one mistake that I am aware of, he didn’t run for president.
Let Senator Demint know we support him. Also, you can see HIS plan for the economy. This is a stimulus plan that can work!!!

I think I would, I posted in my blog a long while back that he should run.
When? I got a message about this event 30 minutes beforehand. THAT'S NOT ENOUGH TIME! Tell me a few days in advance and I'm there.
