HotAir’s Allahpundit has made it known for quite some time that he is no fan of Sarah Palin. In the world of political discourse and debate, that is fine. People can have differing opinions and views on who would make the best candidates (I personally think that Sarah Palin has a great future in the GOP), what polices would be best, etc. The trouble is, Allahpundit is now taking his dislike for Palin and using it to cloud his judgement when reading any stories about her in the Drive-By Media.
Take a recent AP story, headlined GOP Governors Press Congress to Pass Stimulus Bill, in which it is said that the GOP Governors are at odds with the GOP members of congress, and are in favor of the Economic Stimulus Package. It lists Sarah Palin as meeting this weekend with Mitch McConnell to lobby for handouts for her state

Honestly, the thing that will put me off Sarah Palin faster than anything, is attacks on anyone who isn’t ready to declare her the 2012 election winner.
I don’t need a bunch of noobs calling me names for asking legitimate questions. All that will do is guarantee that she doesn’t get my vote. And yes I did vote for her in this recent election despite my questions.
I’m taking a wait and see attitude till we’re at a reasonable length of time from the election before I start making firm decisions. Sarah Palin is a bit of a populist and public sentiment will play a big part in how she campaigns. In my opinion that’s a good thing.
I read that earlier and did some checking and could find no indication that Palin supported the bailout, they took the fact she was at a meeting as an assumption she supported it..

I wasn’t happy with her comments on immigration but let it slide as part of the McCain position during the recent election. Personally I think she needs to become very visible and outspoken on her positions.
And Sarah has attacked? You? Anyone else? Inquiring minds would love to know. I have total faith in Sarah, although I don’t care to endorse anyone for 2012, too far away. She will either do it or she won’t. I saw Mitt on Cavuto the other day, he was way complimentary of Sarah. Very smart. Just imagine if Mitt had been the candidate when the economy starting sinking. OTOH, Soros and his moneymakers would have probably jiggered something else in that case.

Governor Palin catches plenty of flak from drive-by conservatives on FR—who put her down for graduating from the University of Idaho instead of Radcliffe, for governing a “small Western state,” and for being a fan of country western music instead of chamber music.
Like we say, she is one of us, not one of them.

Look, I know Ed and Allah have a good cop/bad cop thing going on at Hot Air regarding Sarah Palin, and I know Allah gets his page hits up when he disses the governor. But he’s really making himself look like an unhinged moonbat when he won’t even bother to get the facts. Read the memo, dude. Conservatives don’t act like deranged LSDs.

I've taken up the cudgels against anyone who talks smack about Palin, but she ain't the 2012 election winner.
The media isn't dead yet. Those slime-mutts have to be gutted on live TeeVee to give her a snowball's chance of competing in 2012.
