Well, if Steele was the most moderate candidate, he be more moderate than Duncan. So, he joined the Whitman group. I never believed that said anything about him. Reagan belonged to such groups also. I would have liked Blackwell, but I think Dawson would have been a total moderate.

Bet a lot of the hand wringers are not even Republican and others have left the Party so much I have lost count.
