The Wall Street Journal also says the Steele pick is a hard move to the left, writing: GOP leaders sought to broaden the battered partys ideological and regional appeal beyond its conservative, Southern base
His moderate views and charisma could help the party combat the impression that it is insensitive to minorities, working people and those with divergent views on social and economic issues. Hes also likely to bring more openness and diversity to the RNC.

Oh great.
Gee, now RINOs can claim to be more diverse and open.
Educate myself? Thanks for the condescension. “Hard move to the left?” Michael Steele? Who wrote that line? Not the WSJ. They don’t seem to know him all that well, do they.
It would be interesting to see WHO within the WSJ wrote that quote within the quote. Remember, Al Hunt ? The WSJ’s Washington Bureau Chief forever who is married to Judy Woodruff?
If I see a WSJ editorial, or an IBD editorial condemning the Steele pick, I will rethink my support of him. I expect to see no such editorial.
