He even has cat friends in the neighborhood. We had talked about getting another cat so he would have someone to play with.
While in Virginia a few months ago, the wife and kids found an emaciated kitten trying to eat a plastic straw at a movie theatre. His name is now Oliver, and he's a beautiful huge orange tabby.
Shiloh hates him! I mean, really HATES him. He growls, hisses, and swats at the other cat whenever they are in the same room. This totally backfired.
These are both neutered males, but Oliver wasn't neutered when we got him. I wonder if that has something to do with it. Any feline lovers have any advice?
We have 13 cats, and sometimes they do not get along. We have a time-out room that we put the offender in when we are not home. We let them out when we are home.
It took one female several months in the time-out room to calm down, but she finally has. Then, I had another who went into a snit when I rescued another cat. He spent a week in time-out.
For the most part, I think our time-out room has helped a lot. Most of my rescues are as kittens that show up on my deck for something to eat.
Perhaps Shiloh thinks he is a dog???
