All you gotta say if you wish to get out of Jury duty is say, “I listen to AM radio”, and if you dont wish to be “deselected” from jury duty is to say I voted for Sanjaia.

Gosh, I feel so sorry for somebody called to jury duty. What an awful thing to suffer through. I also believe that any individual should have the right to decide that another person accused of a crime is not entitled to a trial. That person should then just be convicted.

Show up with, and start reading your, pocket version of the U.S.Constitution.

Oakland CA doesn’t do much right, but they have this down pat. A different pool for each day. You call the night before and you sometimes have to call at noon the following day, but that’s it.

The bad part, though, is I get a jury notice once every two years like clockwork.

We need good FReepers on juries. Hang in there. What if only the conservatives showed up for jury duty? We’d run the country.

Just tell them; “If he was innocent the Police would not have arrested him!!” You’ll be out of that court room in a flash.

I got stuck on a federal jury at a trial because some guy spanked his child on an airplane flight and a jerk school teacher accused him of abusing his child.....

Wasted 3 days of my life...

They should have thrown the busybody public servant into the slammer.....

The prosecutor had not a single witness...what an ass....

A lawyer friend of mine told me to ignore the jury summons if I wanted to. If your actually harassed by the system just tell them you never got the letter.....works every time.

I will respect the law when the law deserves respect....no sooner.

Ever wonder why so many criminals?
CAUSE WE’VE SPENT 200 YEARS PUTTING LAWS ON THE BOOKS AND NOBODY BOTHERS TO GET RID OF ANY.

ignore the jury summons if I wanted to.

I'm not going to try that. The sheriff lives just around the corner.

So did the rest of the jury agree with you and let the guy go?

Well, Gracedad’s (comment #3) rant to the contrary, I actually DO show up and serve when called.

I have never told a lie to the court or misrepresented myself in order to get relieved.

Someone like me has to serve or that slimeball drunk’s car will end up on top of some little kid.

But unfortunately, it’s not the juries that change the country; it’s the judges. And the left has so many “judicial activists” and bleeding hearts who value criminals’ rights far more than victims’ that it is unreal.

What we need is FReepers to go to get elected or appointed to judgeships!

Well, I DO listen to AM radio. And I will look for an opportunity to mention my “conservative blog” as well.

I suppose if the left is going to think that conservatives are psychologically unhinged and dangerous, we might as well get SOMETHING to show for it.

“A lawyer friend of mine told me to ignore the jury summons if I wanted to. If your actually harassed by the system just tell them you never got the letter.....works every time.

I’ve got one of them, “Obey the government unless they tell you to do something wrong” attitudes as a result of my doing something a lot of courts today despise and believing my Bible.

But our legal system IS unworthy of respect. When you take something as simple as the 2nd amendment and decide to eliminate gun rights anyway, what can you say?

There are so many bogus legal opinions surrounding the Constitution from so many activist judges ruling pretty much any damn way they want to that the Constitution is virtually irrelevant to our legal system today.

I say if you are up for juror duty and you think it will not be a waste of your time.. Do it. If you know the system is so rigged towards a defendant that your time would be better served hitting yourself in the head with a tack hammer, proceed as recommended. If you want to buck the system by getting on Jury duty and you know the cards are a bit stacked against fairness - I like you already. I personally would accept jury duty beause I’ve been unemployed for some time now, and I look towards the day I make my splash as jury foreman, and mess with as many libtards as I can. untill I get kicked off anyway.

............And one out of every twenty Americans is now expected to do serious jail time in his life, with 1 in every 100 Americans actually in prison right now...........

That is really amazing to me

Thanks for your story, don't you just love Jury Duty ?

;)

“Just tell them; “If he was innocent the Police would not have arrested him!!” You’ll be out of that court room in a flash.”

Or:

“I belive in driving drunk. There is nothing in the Consituion that says I can’t.”

you would have been out the door in a flash.
