In Indonesia alone, 19 million Muslims support violent jihad but Barack Obama believes the problem is only with a few rogue Al-Qaeda terrorists.
In a 2006 Pew international survey a majority of Muslims believe that Arabs are not behind the 9-11 and millions believe that violent attacks against civilians are acceptable.
The Politico reported on Obama's interview with Al-Arabiya tonight.
The post-partisan president once again bashes President Bush:
The interview with the Dubai-based Al-Arabiya Network was a dramatic piece of public diplomacy aimed at capitalizing on the new American president's international popularity, though it balanced America's traditional commitment to Israel, whose security Obama called "paramount.'
"I have Muslim members of my family. I have lived in Muslim countries," Obama said, according to a White House transcript. "My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy."
...Obama also signaled a move away from President Bush's confrontational, generalizing language. Melhem noted to Obama that "President Bush framed the war on terror conceptually in a way that was very broad, 'war on terror,' and used sometimes certain terminology that the many people -- Islamic fascism.

knock off the mr. president stuff. here at FR he is not our mr. or otherwise, president. yeah, I respect the office, I have been respecting the office before most here were born but not now, not when a damn muslim has it. his support from the liberal sheeple is no different then the blind tojo fanaticism. I support our nation but I will never support this muslim in any way. if he and his agenda succsedes we are over as America, as we know it.
You believed the Clinton News Network. Timothy McViegh was a Christian, but he didn't blow up the federal building because of his religion, because some religious figure told him to, or in a religious statement.
He did it because he thought the government was bordering or was already in tyranny. Yes he did it on the anniversary of Waco, but it was against the government itself, not because the Branch Davidians were themselves kinda whacko Christians.
He was against taxes, pro-guns, against big government, thought the government was out of control. Hate to say it but McVeigh wasn't much different than a lot of us here at FR...well before he blew up the federal building. That's where he crossed the line.
Not to mention that the third bomber from the police sketches looks a hell of a lot like Jose Padilla.
And if my sarcasm detector is broke I apologize for being terse.
Mr. 0bama isn’t going to associate Islam with terrorism. He doesn’t associate terror with terrorists.
very well stated Dom.
Whispering in a sandstorm.
Given these “revelations”, you would think our American history (being founded on Christian principles and all) would be rife with incidents of beheadings, mass murders at muslim mosques and shopping malls, suicide bombings at airports, train stations, and amusement parks. You know, like that of Middle Eastern countries, or Africa, or China.
Those blood lust, evil Christians. /s
“My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy”? *************
pray tell who is this freakin’ dipshoots master?
After living these last 8 years I am certain the next 9/11 will have very little impact on those outside NYC.
So from that stand point we are are good.
“Hey bro - jes’ chill!
Can’t we all jes’ git along; at least fo da for years dat I be da head man. Jes chill out, I be givin you Amerika in time.
Jes let me bankrupt it, den it’s yours!”
“You believed the Clinton News Network. Timothy McViegh was a Christian...”
McVeigh was an atheist.
Those blasted Amish!
booo ... I’m a scaremongering, clinging to my bible and gun, Judeao/Christian.
Not broke. I simply answered a question. As we will lump any "arab" into the Muslim catagory - so too are we, whether truely Christian or not, lumped into THAT catagory.
I notice you decided NOT to speak of the IRA - that one is much harder to deny ...
