I hope he succeeds in the primary task as a president which is serving as an effective commander-in-chief and defender of the peace and strength of our nation. We all suffer if he fails at that.

I hope he fails miserably as a politician promoting far left policies. We all suffer if he succeeds at that.

Actually, it would be better to reply that you want America to succeed, as noted above if America is to do so socialism must fail, but there is no need to point this out. And if pressed for what you mean, reply that Alexis de Tocqueville was correct: “America is great because she is good. If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”.

Then, when you have them thinking/feeling/agreeing with you, turn to their sense of social justice ant point out the inequalities between politicians, the wealthy, and influential and the rest of us. {A great example is of the guy who had money in his freezer, that money was marked by the FBI and given to someone in a bit of a sting operation when they came and said that the guy was basically asking for bribes. If you or I were to do so, we would be in prison, yet that guy is still in office (and got re-elected!).}

Since he’s not even a U.S. citizen, and doesn’t even have a Selective Service Number, he, in my mind, is NOT THE PRESIDENT. Right now we do NOT have a president of this country. The man is a fraud, and he knows it.
