Antarctica Warming Numbers WERE MADE UP!!!!

For years Antarctica was a blot on the reputation of the Global warming nuts. You see the damned continent just REFUSED to get warmer. The Fact is satellite evidence has shown that the vast mass of Antarctica, has been getting colder over the past 30 years. Last year's sea-ice cover was 30 per cent above average.

All that changed earlier this week:

The continent of Antarctica is warming up in step with the rest of the world, according to a new analysis. Scientists say data from satellites and weather stations indicate a warming of about 0.6C over the last 50 years. Writing in the journal Nature, they say the trend is "difficult to explain" without the effect of rising greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere. Meanwhile, scientists in Antarctica say a major ice shelf is about to break away from the continent. The Wilkins Ice Shelf is said to be "hanging by a thread" from the Antarctic Peninsula, the strip of land pointing from the white continent towards the southern tip of South America. BBC

A businessman in Alaska has had a five-ton ice sculpture of Al Gore built as part of a campaign to challenge the widely accepted global warming theory.

Craig Compeau from the city of Fairbanks said the idea came to him a couple of weeks ago when Alaska was hit by a record cold snap. A global warming sceptic, the businessman regularly attacks the theory that man-made emissions cause global climate change.

A 2.5 meter high statue of a shivering Al Gore, a Nobel Prize winning environmentalist who has won international acclaim for his effort to draw public attention to the issue of global warming, was unveiled on Monday. The effigy was created by local artist Steve Dean and will remain in place ‘until it melts’.

When unveiling the sculpture, Compeau taunted the former vice president to come to the northern state and explain global warming theories. If Al Gore travels by electric car and comes on a specific date to Tetlin Junction, where on January 8 the temperature dropped to a guts-freezing -60 degrees Celsius, Compeau promised he would pay for his room and board.

Another thread contained evidence that the Antarctic Peninsula is the only part of the continent that is warming, due to regional weather patterns. Plus, it is summer down there, so a departing piece of ice shelf is not unexpected. The phoneys probably extrapolated from a measuring station on the peninsula to the whole continent.

It should be kept in mind, that the entire history of the warmists, since the first IPCC report with its deliberately edited and distorted (read: false) conclusions in 1995, to the fraudulent " hockey stick" episode, to the deceptive use of readings from Russia's last year's numbers, to now this, is a litany of fabrication, falsification, cooked numbers and every other form of deceit known to man.

Nice map.

Been on every continent except Antarctica. But the only spot I think I would be interested in would be the peninsula, as it extends beyond the circle, and being surrounded, must be moderated some by the sea.

Is there any (arable) property available there?
